"Ready for the last football game of the season?"

Beau looked over at Angela, who was walking beside him with her books pressed against her chest. His best friends hair was loosely piled on top of her head, with stray curls falling against her temples.

"Surprisingly," Beau answered, sucking in a breath, "Yes, I am."

Angela smiled softly, "I think Mike is going to miss you,"

Inside of his chest, Beau felt his heart get heavy at the mention of his other best friend. He and Mike had made up from their small fight in regards to Mike forcing Bella to attend a double date with him. After visiting the Volturi, Beau realized how stupid he was being by holding the grunge against Mike and had told Mike that - minus the Volturi part - which was why they were now on such good terms with each other.

"I'll miss him too," Beau said after a few moments, "But it's not like we won't see each other. I'm still here for a few more months before I'm going to head off to college."

"Columbia, right?" Angela asked, stopping by her locker. Beau nodded his head, leaning against the locker next to Angela's as he watched her spin in her combination.

"Columbia University," Beau confirmed, leaving out the part where Charlie hadn't been happy with it being all the way in New York.

Beau understood his father's hesitance in regards to Beau being so far away, especially since Bella was planning on going to Dartmouth. Though, Charlie had been a bit hard at first, Beau had showed him the scholarship he'd earned to attend the college; as well as the art program the college supplied that would increase Beau's knowledge on something he'd loved ever since he was a kid - anything and everything that had to do with art and it's history.

Unlike Charlie, Renee had been thrilled by his acceptance into Columbia. She'd bought him a ton of merchandise from the school's website in order to get him hyped for attending the college. Though Beau didn't look very good in blue, it didn't stop him from wearing the Columbia University hoodie around these last few days of his senior year.

Angela whistled softly, "How are you with the thought of Manhattan?"

"I'm excited," Beau replied, finding that he generally was.

It'd be entirely different than Forks, but if Beau had learned in this past year, it was that change was a good thing sometimes. He wasn't going to let his anxiety of trying something new stand in the way of getting a degree in something he'd loved. "It'll be hard but I love the college too much to let the location stop me from going."

"You little art junkie," Angela teased, closing her locker and throwing her yellow graduation gown over her forearm. Beau was already wearing his gown, just without the cap. He had the yellow cap in his hand, waiting for the ceremony to put it on.

"Hold this," Angela said softly, handing him her purse. Beau held it as Angela shrugged her graduation gown onto her body, over the black dress she was wearing.

Surprisingly, Angela had decided that graduation was one of the few times she's ever be caught dead willingly in heels, because she wobbled slightly on them as she fought with the front buttons of her gown. Once she was done, she grabbed the purse Beau was holding and uncapped a tube of lipgloss.

"Why does the gown have to be yellow?" Angela grumbled, hooking her arm with Beau's as they continued down the hallway towards the band room, which all of the graduates were waiting.

Angela, being the one of the three juniors in the room, clung to Beau like a leech. Not that Beau minded, he really hadn't made friends with anyone in his grade besides a few people. The two of them leant against the wall, facing the door that would lead out into the main gym which would serve as the graduation hall.

Beau could almost imagine his family out there. Charlie and Bella, followed by Mike, Ben, and the rest of his and Angela's shared group of friends. Then there was Billy Black, Jacob, and the rest of the wolves. After that would be the Cullens, which consisted only of Alice, Edward, Esme, and Carlisle in attendance.
