Nash ,

The next morning as Hayes and I prepared pancakes for ourselves, a sudden knock had startled us. I gave a look to Hayes, knowing that Matthew was getting here today.

"Whatever you do, refrain from hitting him in the balls please," I begged, only for the sake of my sister. She loves him more than she loves herself, and just saying that hurts my heart because I know it's true.

I walked over to the front door, looking through the peephole to confirm that it was him. And sure enough it was. I unlocked the front door, letting Matthew come into my vision. He stood there in all of his douche-glory, except his expression was pained.

fuckboy caught feelings.

I opened the screen door that kept the flies from coming inside the house, and invited him in. He gave me a simple nod and grabbed his bags, coming inside.

"Hey, I know we have some thing to discuss-"

Before I let him finish his sentence, I socked him in the throat.

"Don't you ever fucking leave my sister again."

He stumbled back a bit, struggling to catch his breathe. A pit of guilt had started forming in my stomach, but that was quickly replaced by the neutral feeling of me repeating 'he deserved that,' in my mind on repeat.

I watched as Hayes stood in the opening of the kitchen, watching me with a face probably red as a tomato and Matthew with the same color on his neck.

"What happened to not punching him in the balls?" Hayes mumbled, walking into the kitchen to grab a bag of ice.

"I didn't. I socked him in the throat," I laughed, seeing how this situation was so ironic. I knew I should at least apologize, but I can't do that when I still have tear stains on my shirt's from Ashe, no matter how many times I try to wash them out.

Hayes came back with a bag of unopened frozen peas, handing it to Matthew. Hayes had the same expression on his face as me, except he wasn't as red as a tomato. Matthew placed the bag of peas on his throat, not showing any sign of emotion as we looked at him utterly pissed.

"Okay, I did deserve that. But, can we agree to no hitting from now on?" Matthew plead with Hayes and I. I looked over to Hayes, shrugging.

"No promises," Hayes muttered, taking the words right out of my mouth.

"Look, I don't have to stay here if y'all don't want me to be. I'm not going to intrude, I still have my parent's here." Matthew mumbled, his voice croaking.

I rolled my eyes in annoyance, he knew we wouldn't kick him out - He did use to be my best friend after all. "No, you can stay here. We need you to be here just in case anything urgent involving Ashe happens."

Matthew smiled lightly.

I narrowed my eyes at him. "That does not mean you are forgiven, you have to earn your trust back."

Matthew kept the same smile, nodding. "Okay, and what smells so good?"

Hayes spoke up this time. "Some breakfast Nash and I made, you want some?"

I looked over at Hayes, not believing how easily he forgave Matthew. I thought we hated the same people for christ sake!

"Sure," Matthew smiled, leaving his bags at the front. He walked over and into the kitchen, leaving Hayes and I in the entrance of the house.

"I spit in the eggs and put a bunch of salt, you can thank me later," Hayes whispered to me, making me laugh. We both walked over to the kitchen, watching as Matthew made himself a plate.

"By the way, where will I be sleeping?" Matthew asked, beginning to pour syrup on his pancakes, eggs and bacon. I looked at him funny, wondering how he likes all of that devoured in syrup.

(I eat it like that lmAOOOO STOP JUDGING NASH)

"Uh," I gulped down, sad that I have to tell him this. "You're gonna be sleeping in Ashe's room."

Matthew looked up from his plate, about to take a bite of pancakes. He put his fork down, looking seemingly in pain. "Are you fucking around with me on purpose?"

I shook my head, knowing it's going to be hard to sleep in the same room Ashe had and is now gone from. "No, we just don't have any more room. I wouldn't make you sleep in her room."

I watched as he moved his food around, now struggling to even pick up his fork. Tears began to sting my eyes, but I quickly blinked them away. Any slight mention of her and the waterworks hit me like a truck.

"If it's too much for you, Hayes and I can go sleep in there." I added, even thought it's going to be even harder for us. We were all a family after-all.

"No, it's fine... I just haven't been in there since we last, you know..." Matthew mumbled, referring to when they did 'it.'

I stayed silent, grabbing the plate Hayes had handed me and began to serve myself.

"I truly am sorry for that still, Nash. My actions thought before I could even comprehend what I was doing," Matthew spoke up, noticing my silent treatment.

"It's not me you should be apologizing to," I shot back, remembering how I held onto Ashe's hand the minute before she got the abortion. He still has no clue.

"I know. And, I accept my faults. I'm fully ready to become a father," Matthew spoke strongly about the situation.

My eyes widened as I sat down and Hayes started choking on his pancakes, Matthew chewed on his food and eyed us weirdly.

"What? Did I say something wrong?" Matthew asked, his voice laced with humor.

"No, it's just that-" I kicked Hayes' leg under the table, eyeing him cautiously as I tried to mind connect with him magically to tell him to shut the fuck up, even though that was never going to happen.

"It's just that what?" Matthew asked, noticing my frantic motions.

"That Ashe doesn't think you're ready to be a father," I spoke up, making some lie. I hated myself for even providing false lies. He wasn't going to be a father at all, but I'm not sure he would be relieved at that. He looked so happy talking about the situation.

"Trust me, I am," Matthew spoke cheerfully, his smile widening to the point where you could see his white teeth. It's true about what they say, Actor's have the brightest smiles. "I did all the research I needed to do, and I have some money saved up for diapers and things to keep the baby entertained."

Hayes looked at Matthew solemnly, probably wondering how he was so clueless and stupid to his and I's silence.

"Well, let's not focus on that. Let's focus on hoping she's okay and getting her back," I changed the subject, making Matthew frown.

"You don't think I'm ready to become a father, do you?" Matthew asked, his hands clutching his utencils.

"No, I'm sure you're ready. I'm just not sure that... Ashe is ready for you to have another reason to stay in touch with her," I said yet another lie.

Matthew scoffed. "Don't worry, I'm going to prove to her I'm a good dad and boyfriend."

I simply nodded, and the conversation ended at that.
