"I'm not afraid of pirates," Terra said, throwing her arms in front of her chest, trying to not let her chin quiver.
Leo eyed her coyly, flashing a debonair smile. "Really, missy?"
"Yes. Now let me off your damn boat."
His eyes flashed. "I wouldn't go about insulting my ship. I could have you work through the night, like a wench."
She felt a bubble of anger burst in her chest. "Now listen here you scummy-"
Captain Leonardo grabbed her by the arm, his boots clacking against the boat as he dragged her across the deck. Pressing her against the mast of the ship, he placed a hand near her head and the other near her waist. "Are you sure.... you're not afraid of pirates?"
"Yes," she said firmly, fearing her voice would crack.
"Then," he began, tracing her cheekbone with a finger. "what about a man?"
Before she could blink, the scoundrel forced a kiss upon her lips.
