Chapter 7 (This chapter is one I've been waiting for)
Benjamin
I parked my car outside of a local hotel, and went to check in to a suite. I didn't know how long this errand was going to take so I might as well get a room. The first thing to do was get the girls transfer papers, then I'd find out about Lucas, and last I'd ask about Stephanie. I put my suitcase and bag on the huge king sized beige bed, and headed right out the door.
In less than ten minutes, I found out where Decan lives, and now I was outside his door. The house was a huge 3 story. The outside was white shingles, and three cars in the driveway. He had a few patches of purple clematis around the house. He even had an apple tree in the front yard. I rang the doorbell, and I could hear footsteps coming toward the door, but I could also hear two heartbeats.
Please don't let me be walking in to him feeding!
A man not looking over 30 opened the door with a menacing look in his blue eyes. His dark brown hair was out of place, and he was in a black suit with a grey shirt undershirt. "Who are you? What do you need? I have guest," he asked with an angered tone.
"I'm sorry to bug you, but I'm Benjamin Strauss. I'm here to talk to you about Addison Current," I said trying to sound confident.
"What?" I heard to voices say. Two boys came rushing to the towards. Both looked about eighteen and had some muscle and height to them. One boy's light brown hair looked as if he'd been raking his fingers through it, and his dark brown eye were full of worry and concerned. The other boy looked a little less worried. His light grey eyes seemed like he was concerned, but knew everything would turn out all right, but still his brown hair seemed the same as the other boys.
"Come on in, Benjamin," Decan stated. I walked in to the nicely furnished house, and I placed my self on the white comfortable plush couch.
"May I ask who you two are?" I directed to the two boys.
"I'm Nick Current. Addison's older brother," the brown eyes boy told me.
The other boy smiled as he said, "I'm Lucas Nelson, her boyfriend."
My eyes almost came out of my head. This was Lucas as in the Lucas, who Damen is so worried about taking Addison away. There wasn't much to the guy from my view, but there had to be something about him to have Addison.
"So, where is Addison and Marie?" Decan asked as he sat down on a different chair.
"Well, how do I say this. They are with my Fated, Samantha, her brother, Damen, and their nephew, Zane. The only problem is that she's Damen's Fated, so we will be needing your permission to stay with Damen and her school papers. If you want Marie can come back here, but it's your decision," I explained. I saw pain flash through Lucas's eyes when I mentioned the Fated part. That almost answered the question how much he care about her.
"I'll give you her file now, but I want to come and see her before I allow her to stay with him. Plus, I need to see of Marie to see of she's happy there also," he decided after a few moments of silence. He decision sounded pretty fair.
"I won't be leaving for a few days, so if there's anything you want me to give either of them you can find me at the hotel right downtown," I directed the last part to the boys.
"We won't need to give you anything because we are coming with you," Nick said harshly.
Decan came back down the stairs, but I hadn't even known he'd left. He handed me a somewhat thick gold folder. I opened the folder and one word popped out to me first.
Psychic!
She was psychic. Marie left that part out. Wow, I wish I could see the look on Damen's face when he read this. That'd be a funny sight. "Thank you for this. Now I need to go email or maybe Fax this to Damen, so he can transfer her," I told him.
"I have a fax machine upstairs down the right hall fourth door on your left, and, Nick, I think you should go home and inform your parents about Addison," he stated.
I swore I heard him whisper, "Like they care what happens to their children."
Maybe he was as bitter about the whole Stephanie as Addison was hopeful.
As the boys left, I went upstairs and faxed the papers to Damen, which took forever by the way. I heard Decan came home. "Why are you staying? All you needed was her papers," he commented.
"Lucas. Damen found out Addison had a boyfriend. The sap is afraid Lucas is going to ride in and take her from her," I said in a sarcastic tone.
Like I always said sarcasm is your friend.
I saw a flash of pain in Decan's face like he knew how Damen was feeling. "Are you okay?" I asked.
"Yes, I was just thinking about something. Well, I'm looking forward to meeting him. Addison is an incredible girl. He'll be extremely lucky if she accepts him," he said in an honest tone.
"What's she like? We haven't really talked to her that much," I asked.
"She's very..... unique. She's loyal to her friends and family, but she won't hesitated to get mad when they do something she doesn't approve us. She's really involved in school sports and clubs. As a witch, she's very strong, but that's because of the special gift," he answered.
"What does being psychic mean?" I asked.
He swallowed before he answered, "The visions come unexpectedly in her dreams or even when she's awake. They cause her a lot of pain, but when she learns to control her gift that'll go away. She won't learn to control it until she doesn't fear her vision. I've tried to make her understand seeing the future is a beautiful thing, but she's too stubborn to listen to me," he explained.
"Well, I'd better to go, but before I go I have something to ask," I said.
"What would that be?" he asked.
I just spit it out, "What happened to Stephanie?"
Author's Note: Ha ha, you'll have to wait until another few chapters to find out what happened to poor Stephanie. :( The reason I loved this chapter is because it's in Benjamin's view and he's one of my favorite characters. Hope everyone had a happy holiday!
