Percy pov.
I slowly regain consciousness, hearing a light argument nearby. Two voices, the strange female voice from before and a familiar male voice, whisper-yell at each other, the only audible words being "Percy" and "Commander."

Attempting to see the people behind the voices, I slowly open my eyes, previously seeming to be sewn shut. I was immediately blinded by a bright light, as my eyes were used to complete darkness. As my eyes settled, I saw a pale face looming over me. The figure had the most beautiful eyes I had ever seen; they were swirling with shades of purple, black, white, and blue- the colors of the galaxy. She had long, jet black hair that framed her face.

"Hello, Perseus. Nice to see you awake."

When the lady said this, my seaweed-brain didn't comprehend the fact that she knew my name at first. Instead, I corrected her. "It's Percy. Please."

She chuckled, smiling at me with perfectly straight and bright, white teeth. "Of course, of course. I am Chaos, creator of the universe. Oh, please- don't bow!" She said as she watched me struggle to my feet and start to lower my head to the floor. Chaos, as she said her name was, gently pushed my shoulders, laying me back down against the pure white bed.

"Soooo... why am I here?" I asked worriedly. By the gods, if there is one more powerful person starting a war...

Chaos suddenly looked nervous, but excitement sparked in her eyes. They danced with bright stars, filled with so much hope that I couldn't help but wish to do whatever she wanted me to.

'Don't get ahead of yourself.' I thought. 'For all you know, she could be the enemy.'

"Well..." she wrung her hands nervously. "I've seen what's happened to you recently. Jack, your father, your mother; all of it. They've treated you wrongly, and I've come to give you another chance at a happy life. You deserve it, after all; your fatal flaw is loyalty, and yet they doubt you."

"How would you manage that?" I tried not to get my hopes up. So far, her offer seemed to good to be true.

"Well... I was hoping you would be the commander of my army, the Army of Chaos."

"Clever name" I mumbled. "Did you think that one up all by yourself?" I didn't mean for Chaos to hear, but she did. She laughed, which was definitely a better reaction than I would have expected...

"You would never have to see the campers again, nor the gods."

My ears perked up at that. I NEVER wanted to see those sorry excuses for heroes ever again, and this was my chance. But again, it seemed too good to be true.

"So, what's the catch?" I asked.

"Nothing! A free pass out of the life you've been living. You'd be trained with every weapon, get new powers; anything you wanted, really." She seemed so excited, she was practically bouncing.

"Ummm..." I considered for a moment. I didn't care much for the powers, but a little extra protection wouldn't hurt. Also, never seeing anyone from my past life again; a BIG plus. Except...

"What about Nico? He stuck with me through all of this, and he never believed-" I shuddered at the name about to come out of my mouth- "Jack. I'd like to still see HIM; he's my last friend."

"Of course! You can come with me to ask him if he wants to join, too. He would be commander of the 1st out of 5 squadrons- the Alpha squadron. You'd still be commander of all of them, of course, but Nico would be like your second-in-command."

"Well in that case... Of course! I would love to!" Chaos smiled brightly.

"Just one more thing I would like to offer..." She added.

Don't kill me!!!!
