Willow's POV

"...and that's all you missed," She finished as she closed her note book. She looked up from my coffee table and I fidgeted under her gaze.

I don't know how she got me to bring her here, but she did. I didn't like it. I felt calm around her, but the strangest part is so did my death.

It was now 1:30 in the afternoon. We had walked from the cemetery to my house. I don't know why but she wouldn't let me shake her. She is a persistent little creature.

"Why did you miss so many days anyway? School just started," She said looking at me with a curious expression. My chest started to swirl with anger and sadness.

"It's uh the anniversary month for my parents death. It's always hard a couple days before so I just skipped," I said sighed.

It's true, but they died in October not September. I was sad that my time with them was so short. I should have gotten more time.

"Aw! Please don't give me that look! You are too pitiful when you're sad. I knew I interrupted something important," She whimpered. She hopped up from the ground getting comfortable on the couch next to me. She wrapped an arm around me and leaned closer to me.

I stiffened. My belly started to rumble. Being close to a creature especially a human was difficult already, and she put herself in a very dangerous position.

I tried not shaking. She squeezed me slightly before dropping her arm off my shoulder.

"It's alright. Just a little tough that's all," I shrugged.

"So, now that we can talk where are you..." She started, but was cut off by the chirping and buzzing of her phone.

She rolled her eyes and answered it.

"Hello? Yeah. At a friends house," I winced at the word friend. We weren't friends, "No. No I... no. Listen will you? Don't touch the cat or I swear. Fine! I'm on my way," Her conversation was short and I had no reason to listen to the other side. I didn't care.

"Sorry Willow. I have to go. My psycho mother is having a melt down," She said with a frustrated huff.

I chuckled, "I can tell," I smiled at her as I helped her with her stuff.

"We should definitely do this again" She smiled as she stood up. I dismissed the notion. I didn't answer her because I didn't want to be brutally honest, "Ohh and one more thing; I think Aj wants to talk to you. He seemed worried or angry about something," She said with a curiously worried look. I shrugged.

"Roid rage probably," I said sarcastically and she laughed.

"Just trust me, you don't want someone like Aj worrying. You don't know what could happen," She said with a worried look.

I knew she was referring to the fact the Aj is a dog boy, but how would she know? She's human.

Then it clicked.

The boy from math class that was next to her is her mate. Got it. Wow, I am good. He did have a strong heart beat. I am starting to have more ways to access this pack. I may not have to use Aj in particular. Perfect.

I fought to keep the smirk off my face.

"Don't worry about it. I'm sure I can handle it," I said with a small laugh. She sighed with a smile as she shook her head.

"If you say so. I'll see you later," She smiled as she walked out of the door. I waved as she I walked toward her house or wherever she was going.
