*Elizabeth*
"Elizabeth.""Yeah Mr. Conrad?" I look up to see Leah smirking at me. By the look on her face I could tell that this wasn't going to be good.
"Leah needs to talk to you about something. Would you go into the hallway with her please."
"Yeah sure." I slowly stood from my seat to follow Leah out the door. I look down at Chloe and she mouths the words 'what does she want?' I just shrugged and walk out into the hallway.
"Ah, there's the good for nothing best friend stealer."
"Wait what do you mean Leah? How am I a best friend stealer?"
"Addison only worries about you now. She doesn't even acknowledge Jake like she used to. There is something going on with her and I don't like it." She takes a couple steps toward me and out of habit I take a couple back. "I told you to stay away from her, didn't I?
"And I told you that I wasn't going to do that, didn't I?"
"You better watch your mouth Elizabeth. I might just make life a living hell for you."
"My life already is a living hell. You can't make it any worse."
"Oh can't I? What if I tell everyone about the little crush you have on Addison?" I hesitate. I don't know what to say to that. I can't let that get told to Addison's parents. "Ah, so it is true?"
"What no. It's not true. I'm just so astonished that out of every lie you could come up to tell that's what you would choose? Why not that I do drugs or something, that's much more creative."
"I don't know, but I could tell people about Addison liking you instead. Which do you prefer?"
"Wait what do you mean Addison liking me?" I clarified, wanting to be sure. Addison does like me? How could Leah possibly know that?
"You are as dumb as you look. Of course she likes you. I can see it when she looks at you. I can even see it when she talks about you. Now you need to stop talking to her or I'll tell everyone."
"Why would you talk crap about your own best friend?"
"Because she may be my best friend, but since you like her so there is no way you'd even let there be a possibility of her getting hurt."
I hesitated, knowing that exactly what she said was true. There is no way that I could let Addison get hurt. Her parents wouldn't like the thought of their daughter liking another girl. What makes me even more mad is that Leah is lying about it.
"Everyone will know that you're lying Leah. Addison has a boyfriend. Who she loves. And everyone knows that." I start to take a couple steps toward her. "And there is nothing you can to stop me from talking to her."
Leah gives me the most evil smirk I have ever seen "What if I tell you that I've been secretly reading her journal? So I know everything she thinks about you and everything that's happened between you." I opened my mouth to say something but she cut me off "I even know about the little thing she did in the guest bedroom with you. You know where she spun you around and ended up on top of you. So close that you could almost kiss."
"I didn't know she had a journal..." That was all I could say. Nothing else was coming to mind.
Leah bent down to where her lips were close to my ear. And then she quietly whispered "What if I told you that she did want to kiss you, and that she doesn't understand what she's feeling. But whenever she sees you she wants to kiss you." With that she turned around and walked away.
I just stood there in the middle of the hall, dumb struck. If she knows all of that Addison must have a journal. And if Leah knows where it is she could steal it and show the whole school.
