chapter 22

Steph pov:

"okay we're here." I told Alexander once we entered Blake room even though I knew very well that he wouldn't respond back

as soon as we were in I sat him on the bed and began to run a bath. 

I knew once we step foot in our room that I would bathe Alexander, considering he was covered in dirt from head to toe.

as the bath was running I began to take Alexander's clothes off and quickly went to laundry room to get them clean. As soon as the water was ready I grabbed Alexander and began to bathe him. Which let me tell you it wasn't easy.

"ow. ow. It hurts. It hurts mommy!" Alexander yelled as I began to wash him.

as I washed him I noticed he had cuts all around his body not to mention fresh and old bruises

I knew I should have been happy because he called me "mommy" for the first time but all I saw was red. I know I shouldn't chose violence, But I couldn't help it. seeing my baby in pain made me go crazy.

"it's okay baby. Were almost done just let me scrub you one more time then your all done"

" no please mommy!" he pleaded as tears streamed down his face 

as quickly as possible I scrubbed him one more time and got him out with a towel wrapped around him and placed him on the bed, with that I brought some lotion and began to rub it around his body and since his clothes were washing I didn't think Blake would mind if I used some of his clothes. ( of course they were really big on him but we made it work)

"okay baby your all set." I said while tucking him in bed 

"let me just brush my teeth and check on your clothes and then we can go to sleep" I said and all he did was nod

with that I went to brush my teeth and as soon as I was about to go check on the clothes I heard a knock on the door

apparently daisy wanted to watch a movie. feeling tired myself and not wanting to leave Alexander alone I politely declined 

as soon as I knew she left I quickly want to the laundry room put Alexander's clothes in the dryer  and walked back to the room to finally sleep.

mom.... *nudge*

mommy! *nudge*

"stop that! Go away." I mumbled while  I began to fall asleep

"mommy?" a small voice sobbed making me immediately open my eyes. As my eyes adjusted to the light I realized the sob were coming from Alexander  

"oh baby whats wrong?" I asked as I raised him up and placed him on my lap to hug him

"you said to.. To go away. You don't...Don't want me anymore?" Alexander said brokenly 

"oh no baby that was just my morning talk. I would never leave you Xander never." I whispered to him as I hugged him tightly 

"xander? " he question as he looked up with teary eyes making me chuckle 

" yes Xander. Alexander is to long its your new nickname you don't like it?" I said while wiping his tears away 

"no if mommy likes it I like it too." he said while his stomach growled
