Chapter 1 - The beginning

                  

Hey guys. My name is Caitlin and I am 20 years old. I am just your regular white girl. I have brown hair whit blonde highlights and I have brown eyes. I love my Starbucks and makeup. I currently live in Melbourne, Australia and decided to have a change of scenery and move to California. Maybe LA or San Francisco. My dad is paying for the ticket as it is more of an early birthday present and I will miss him a lot. If you are wondering where my mum is, well she passed away when I was 10. I don't remember much of her but I have photos of her in my room. 'Hey Cait, are you ready to go to the airport?' 'Yea I am dad. I'll be right down.' Today is the day I leave I am both excited and nerves all at once as this is the first time I'll be living on my own.

We arrive at the airport and I have to check in. 'Sweetie, are you sure you wanna do this?' 'Yes dad. I am 100% sure. Nothing can change my decision.' 'I am really proud of you and I know for sure so will your mum. Let's get you checked in so we can go and have something to eat.' I got checked in and my flight isn't for another 2 hours so plenty of time to go for food and some shopping.

We finished eating and shopping and it was time for me to leave. 'Bye daddy. I love you so much and take care of yourself.' 'I love you too Caitlin. I'll miss you a lot and make sure you call at least once every 2 weeks.' 'I will and if I can't, I'll send you a message.' We said our goodbyes and I walked through the gates to the waiting area. This is the second I'm going on a plane. The first time I was 2 years old. Don't remember it but we have photos.

'Now boarding flight 290 to Los Angeles. Please have your tickets and passports ready.' Here we go. Goodbye Australia. Hello America.
