Chapter 13 - Facing the past one last time Pt. 1

2 months later

Caitlin's POV

Today is the day for Danny's trial and I am not looking forward to testifying against him. I was getting ready to go and the only song I know that would get me through this day is the best song ever. Fight Song by Rachel Platten. I have loved this song ever since it came out. Ever year it was the anniversary of mum's death, I would listen to this song. I hear a knock at my door and it opened. 'Hey Caitlin. Its time.' Here does nothing.

We got to the courthouse and there was reporters outside waiting for me. They do this to ever victim. I know that Danny is Australian but since I currently can't travel overseas, they said we can have the trial here. 'You ready to put this arsehole behind bars?' 'Yea. Just scared of what his lawyer is going to ask me.' 'Don't worry. You just have to sit there and tell the truth and tell the jury everything that douche did to you the whole time you guys were together in Australia and what he did to you here too.' Here goes nothing.

We got inside the courthouse and there was a lot of people in the building. The reporters were up my arse with questions about Danny. All I did was ignore them. I don't want to say anything that might hurt me in the process.

I manage to walk into the room and there was so many people sitting and waiting for the trail to start. I sat down on the prosecutor side and my lawyer was already sitting there waiting for the judge to come out. Kian and JC sat down on the other side of gate. 'Don't worry baby. You will be fine. Just don't let the defendant get to you.' 'Thanks Kian.' Here does nothing.

Kian's POV

Caitlin's trial has been going well so far even though I have been wanting to punch the shit out of Danny. It was time for Cait to go to the stand. Hope she doesn't screw up everything for herself. Great her lawyer is going first. 'Miss Caylen, when did you meet Danny?' 'I met him in high school back in Australia.' 'And how long were you two dating before you moved out here?' 'We were dating for 3 years.' 'And was he violent towards you in those 3 years?' 'Yes he was.' 'Can you please explain in detail how he would be violent towards you?' 'He would always bash me, he would try and force himself on me.' She looks like she is about to cry. I hope he stops asking her to say what that dumbass did to her. 'It is okay Caitlin. You don't have to say anymore. That is all the questions I have, your honour.' Now is the defendant's turn. 'So Caitlin, my client use to force himself on you. Did you ever say no?' 'What do you think? Of course I said no.' 'Even when the current incident happened, did he force himself?' 'He raped me that day!' 'But in your medical reports, there was no details of you being raped.' 'That's because I didn't even know he raped me until recently.' 'Can you please tell us how you found out?' 'I went to my doctor's appointment and found out I am pregnant to the dumbass that you are representing.' That made the whole courthouse go silent. Let's hope this doesn't change anything.
