So, chap. 9. It's shorter than the others though.

I found that with every chapter, the reads are getting lesser. Can you guys tell me why?

It makes me less motivated to write.

We walked the distance between the Great Seplove and The town’s north border, accompanied by Kinow.Over the horizon, the silhouette of mountains far away peaked behind the trees of the Racunae Forest.

“We have arranged proper transportation for you at the end of this path.” Kinow said when we were at the north border. ”Again, remember that Vudel has many Servants. He can send as many as he wants, so be on your guard.” We all nodded. ”Now, be on your way…and be careful.”

We walked down the dirt pate surrounded by the Racunae Forest. The sun was going down now. A slight breeze blew through the path, giving me Goosebumps. Creatures took the time to stop their business and look at us.

After a few moments, boredom took over us. Donnest started playing with a vine he ripped out o a tree on the way, making it creep on his arm like a snake. Tamora was playing with purple gunk, I guessed was plague, on his hand. Afetil was humming a strangely familiar song.

And me?

I was playing with a ball I made with my powers, throwing it up then catching it. Up and down, up and down, up and down.

I almost reached a hundred throws when Tamora,”What part of town do you live, Zander?”

“I-”

“He’s from out of town,” Afetil interrupted before I could think of a crazy answer like In Kinow’s Basement.

“Oh, that makes sense.”

“How so?” Donnest asked.

“I think I would’ve noticed someone as cute as Zander.” She flashed me a smile.

I cleared my throat. ”Um, thanks, I guess.” And returned the smile.

She seemed to see this as an encouragement because she moved closer to me. A little too close, if you asked me.

“Okay,” Donnest said after an awkward silence,” What type of transportation do you think dad arranged for us?”

“There’s only one way to find out.” I said. We were getting closer to the end of the path, the Horizon becoming more visible with every stride.

“Why don’t we just use teleportation? I mean, that’s how I got here anyway.” I whispered to Afetil, careful no to let Tamora hear me.

“Well,” she whispered back, looking at me. ”Teleportation takes a lot of Fateus. It bends space itself and moves you through the Sudem plane. It disturbs the curb of space and sometimes weakens you if not done correctly. You need a Letorian stone, like the Helith, to teleport a group of people.”

“Oh,”I said. Even though I’m a part of this world now, I was still confused with all the names and how things work.

“But…” she murmured.

“But what?” I asked.

“Uh, never mind,”

“Come on,” I urged, “I ‘m curious. I want to know more about this place.” When she hesitated, I pouted. I didn’t know if I looked good, but it worked.

“Okay, okay.” she said, with a laugh. ”There are some people who have acquired the ability to teleport themselves or a group of people. Either they learned it or acquired it through birth.”
