A snowflake dropped from the sky to my nose while I was sitting on the swing. I wonder where that came from? It's the middle of spring time.

I was waiting there for what I don't know, I guess for time to pass or something? Oh, I remember, I was waiting for two people who still haven't come back yet. I was waiting for Noctis Lucis Caelum and Éclair Farron, my parents to come back.

It had been months since they left for an unknown mission, I didn't wanna let them leave because I didn't know what was on that mission neither do they. My mother's final words to me were "We won't be long now, we'll come home soon. I love you." and my father's were "Everything will be fine. You're strong and I know you can handle yourself without us. Always remember that me and your mother always loves you," before leaving me a kiss on the forehead and leaving to do the mission.

I wiped off the snowflake from my nose, the breeze grew cooler but I didn't care. I expected they were to come back early but I guess I was wrong.

"There you are, cousin!" a cheery voice yelled at me cheerfully from afar while running towards me. I just made a sly smile as she approach me.

"Where have you been? Mom's been worried sick about you." she said worriedly.

I looked down, "I'm fine, Lyra. I just came here to think." I said.

"Let's go to Mom, okay?" she smiled then grabbed my hand. I just let her drag me back to the mansion.

"Oh Princess Résh, where were you?" the servants ask me. I just smiled at them to say that there was nothing for them to worry about.

I forgot to mention, I'm a Princess, a princess of the Kingdom of Lucis ruled by my father, King Noctis Lucis Caelum, so yeah.

"Résh, I thought something happened to you. Young Princesses shouldn't be out, you know and its cold outside." said my Aunt Serah as she ambush me with a hug.

"I know, Aunt Serah. It's just that I wanted to take a walk and get some alone time, that's all."

"I'm sorry." she whispered as she stroked my raven curls. At the point I think she knew what I was thinking about.

I broke the hug gently then smiled, "Anyways, it's getting late. I should get some sleep now."

I walked silently on the dark hallway to my room; the moon was the only one that gave light to it. I stopped for a bit to see the bright moon then made a huge sigh before moving on.

I got ready for bedtime then lay on my bed; I stared at the ceiling for a bit, watching its motionless patterns of black butterflies. That always makes me relax before I fall asleep.

"Résh..."

"Résh..."

I kept on hearing the calls of my name from a familiar voice as I wonder on a dark place where I could see nothing but the reflection of me from the floor. I tried finding where the call was coming from, I was desperate for finding it because I know that voice anywhere.

"Résh..." said the voice of my father as a figure slowly appears.

"Dad!?" I yelled, running towards the figure.

The figure slowly clears, I was right, it really was my Dad. I jumped to hug him.

"Daddy..." my voice was trembling as tears fall from my eyes.

"There isn't much time, Résha. I and your mother are in grave danger, we need your help." my father said.

"What? But Dad, what can I do? I'm still not strong enough to–"

He smiled, "You're my daughter, I know you're strong enough to find us and you won't be alone."

"What do you mean?" I asked as I wiped my tears.

"You have comrades, they can help you. Also, find the Water Guardian, she knows how to help you." he said.

"Who?" I asked. My head was spinning from confusion.

"And don't trust anyone." he said before he slowly disappears.

"Wait, Dad! I don't know– Dad!" I yelled.

I looked from left to right but I couldn't see him anymore. I kept on calling and calling out to him but no one answered.

"Dad!"

When I opened my eyes, I was sitting up only to find out that all that was just a dream.

"Résh! What's wrong!?" Lyra said worriedly as she ran towards me.

I touched my head, "Damn it..." I mumbled.

"What's wrong?" she asked me again.

"I don't know. I'm still confused." I said before I sighed.

I needed some time to think so I asked her to leave me alone for a bit.

I'm still confused but I invited Lyra to take a walk at the garden with me to tell her about the dream afterwards.

"Oh my gosh! B-but how can you–?"

"I still don't know, Lyra. But whoever this Water Guardian, I better find him or her soon." I sighed.

She giggled, "Why didn't he ask you to find Jack Frost instead. It would make things easier." she joked.

"Who's Jack Frost?" I asked.

"The Winter Guardian," she chuckled.

"Psh... that sounds a lot harder than finding the Water Guardian. Its not even winter. Jack Frost is just a myth, he's not real." I said.

"Not if you believe in him. He's also the guardian of fun." she smiled.

Lyra's imagination is always so wide and crazy. She's always so positive about things and she always wants me to feel better, that's what I like about her.

"He is real. He visits me every night!" she pouted.

"If you say so, Lyra," I just shrugged.

But sometimes, I get annoyed if things were over the edge, like now. I really have no time for childish games and fantasies like this.

"I'll ask him tonight if that will help you." she smiled.

I believe I lost my patience, "Lyra, I have no time for kiddy–"

"Just trust me, Résh." she patted my shoulder.

I just remained silent then sighed. I'll just leave her be. After all, she is younger than me and as an older one, I have to understand.

"Mom's calling me, I'll be back," she said before running.

I just nodded then sat on a nearby bench. I still have a lot of questions. I have to think of a way to find the Water Guardian soon but I don't know how, or where, or when. Dad, I don't know what to do.
