CHAPTER IX: LANDS OF VIKINGS

(Jack's P.O.V)

Lyra, Titus, Jake and I went through the portal and when we got there, we never expected to find forest where you could find a lot of targets with shot arrows straight on the bull's eye.

"Did we get lost or something?" asked Titus.

"No, I don't think so. This is the usual place where the brave princess visits." said Jake.

"Let's have a look around." said Lyra.

We walked through the forest but I don't see a sign of any princess anywhere, we don't even know what she looks like or what her name is so I'm wondering how we'd find her.

"I don't see any princess here; maybe we're in a wrong place." I finally said as I sigh.

"No, there she is." said Jake as he points at a strange girl with fiery red curls, climbing up a weird looking mountain.

"How'd you know?" I asked.

"I just do, trust me." said Jake.

"Wow, is she really a princess? How brave for a girl to climb up a mountain." said Lyra as she chuckles.

"Uh-huh, Ms. Savina only told us what they look like but not their names so we don't know how to call them." said Jake with a chuckle.

"Then what are we waiting for, let's ask her name and for some of her blood." said Titus as he aims to approach the brave princess.

"Hold on, hold on. Let's wait for her to come down from there. And we're not planning to ambush her or something, we're just here to get her blood." said Jake as he grabbed Titus' shoulder.

"Hey wait, you can't just ask somebody for their blood, that would be a crazy thing to ask for, you know!" I said unsurely.

"Yeah, it would be too weird and she might get scared or freaked out." Lyra said.

"But isn't she suppose to be brave?" said Titus.

"Yeah but it's still weird to ask for some blood you know." said Lyra, frowning.

"And another thing, she might shoot us with those arrows if we do because she might get angry with us." Jake said.

"I could hear you." said a voice with a strange accent. We all twitched with shock when an arrow ran for us but missed.

"S-sorry... We didn't mean any harm." said Jake as he walks out from behind the tree to reveal himself. I followed him and I saw that the princess was aiming an arrow at us.

"Who are you!?" asked the princess. I feel she doesn't wanna let her guard down.

"I'm Jake, and these Jack, my twin, Lyra and Titus." answered Jake.

"What do you want?" she asked.

All of us looked at each other.

"If it's not too weird to ask, can we um..." Lyra started.

The princess' expression got curious, "Have what?" she asked.

Lyra hesitated, "Have some of your blood?"

She backed away a bit, "What!?" as we expected, she was shocked.

"D-don't take it that way. It's for good cause." Lyra reasoned.

"Are you all insane!? What would you want with my blood?" she asked as she points the bow and arrow at us. I could sense she's a bit freaked out.

"What now?" whispered Lyra.
