The day with Ethan and Grayson was super fun, and I was beginning to like Grayson even more. But I haven't told anyone, especially my brothers. And it wasn't like I had a best friend at school to turn to. There was no one to tell.

It was now the next week, and I was going to Grayson's house to work on our project again. I was getting ready to go to school.

"Emerson, come eat breakfast. Mum told us you have to eat every day," Elliot says, opening the door to my room. Perfect timing, big bro. Just as I was putting my new sensor in. I quickly pulled my shirt down.

"Sorry, Emerson, I didn't mean to just walk in. Everything okay?" he asks sitting on my bed.

"I'm fine, Elliot," I say, exasperated, my voice rising.

Elliot recoils, and I sigh, "I'm sorry, El. I'm just really tired of everyone asking if I'm okay. I've been doing this for almost fourteen years. I know what I'm doing," I say, sitting next to him on the bed.

"Emmy, we're worried about you. We don't want the same thing to happen as last time."

I think back to the event he was referring to. It was the day of the school play, and I was so excited, that I had forgotten my kit at home. I was really nervous and worked up, and that had drained my blood sugar. I had ended up fainting onstage, right during my solo. Luckily, my family was in the audience and my mum always carried an extra kit with her.

"Elliot, I was eleven when that happened. I still think it's kind of excessive that both you and Evan have to carry kits in case I ever forget mine. I don't want to be a bother to you."

"Emerson! You're not a bother to us at all. What kind of brothers would Evan and I be if we didn't carry around supplies that could potentially save your life?"

"Thanks, Elliot," I said giving him a hug.

"Hey, I wanna hug too!" Evan suddenly yells from the doorway, jumping onto us with his arms spread apart.

"OW! Evan! Get off me! You just crushed my boob, dude!" I yell.

They both laugh, and I hear my phone buzz. It's a text from Grayson.

Gray: You wanna go swimming after we work on our project? Your brothers can come too.

Emmy: Sure. Can't wait.

"Hey, bozos, go get your swimsuits. The Dolans invited us to go swimming."

"Awesome!" Evan says, "That'll be an awesome way to cool off after football practice," he slaps Elliot five.

"Oh my God! I totally forgot I have track practice today! Thanks for reminding me, Evan!" I exclaim, grabbing my gym bag from my closet. I stuff my swimsuit and extra clothes in there, then go downstairs.

I have a muffin for breakfast since I'm very low at the moment, then we head out to the car.

When we arrive at school, Elliot and Evan go to their friends, which includes the Dolan twins. It's basically the whole football team. I make eye contact with Grayson, and give him a small wave. He waves back.

Luckily, my morning classes go by uneventfully, and I manage not to speak to anyone. It's kind of hard, since I'm a pretty sociable person, but I know it's for the best. I wouldn't let myself get hurt in the same way again.

I headed to the cafeteria. I was starving! I grabbed a sandwich, a juice box, an apple, and two cookies. I saw the lunch lady look at me funnily, but I just smiled at her.
