sienna

"and the next thing we know she's on the floor covered in mud and glitter with porky on top of her"

all i could hear was howls of laughter as luke and i entered the room. iris was, no doubt, telling her favourite story about me from the first ever shoot i allowed her to go to. basically it involves me, a bottle of sequins and a pig- enough said. i don't know why but she tells it to absolutely everyone we meet- it's mortifying. i guess it's kind of a good ice breaker for her but in that instant i'd never hated more.

"don't listen to her" i whispered to luke. "she's making it all up" i joked quietly but still really hoped he had awful hearing so that he didn't hear a word of what she had said.

"too late" he said as he grabbed my hand and dragged me toward iris and the boys who were all sitting in the living room. ashton was on the sofa with his arm wrapped around iris (i pitied her, she looked as if she was being held in captivity by his giant arms, even though i was sure she loved every single second of it). michael was sat on the floor with his legs leaning on the armchair next to him which calum was sat criss-cross applesauce on.

"apparently mario testino hadn't laughed that hard for years." iris stifled, through gasps for air and watery eyes. michael was sprawled across the floor and slapping the carpet, ashton's head was thrown with tears rolling down his face and calum was hunched over, grasping his stomach. their laughter was booming and echoing around the room.

this went on for minutes whilst luke and i just stood there, feeling out of place as we took in the scene playing out before our eyes. luke's hand still held mine but i was sure it was just because he forgot about it considering all that was going on around us.

"we need to get a hold of those photos immediately" ashton said after they had all calmed down a bit.

"mario testino still has them and apparently he loved them so much he framed them in his studio, but i've been searching for months and months, it's impossible sienna won't have any of it"

"speaking of" michael announced as he nodded his head towards us, the others turned our way and what was left of their laughter quickly died out. their was a moment of silence, where everyone was still before the other burst straight back into laughter again. luke and i approached cautiously as to not provoke them any further but as soon as they quietened down they just had to look at me and they'd be pissing themselves again. this went on for what felt like hours and probably actually was.

at some point luke had gotten in on the joke and was now sitting next to me, also laughing (just not quite as hard as the others).

by this point i would have normally said something to distract them and move the joke along so that i could join in, but i didn't have it in my heart to break up something that was clearly bonding the five of them. i promised iris i would be good and do my best to get her accepted by the band and if that meant sitting through hours of laughing and pointing then so be it, i wasn't going to be a crappy friend.

"okay, okay i think i'm good" calum declared from his chair, he looked like a tired old man and a five-year-old simultaneously. "god, i'm exhausted." he huffed.

"oh does grandpa need a nap" iris teased as she re-positioned herself on the couch so she was basically sat on ashton. michael then made a fake gagging noise and gesture which was met by a kick from ashton. this then caused them to erupt into seemingly endless bickering which iris was unfortunately in the middle of.

"what was that for michael groaned.

"what was what for?" ashton replied like an annoying little kid.
