He opened his eyes and looked around. He was strapped down. He felt something cold beside him, touching his arm. He turned his head, for some reason it felt like it was spinning. He shook his head as he tried to regain his full consciousness.
Suddenly, out of the blue he felt several small smacks against his cheek and he heard a soft and gentle voice say to him, "Yo. Jameison. Wake up. You with me partner?"
His eyes took a moment to adjust as he looked up at a figure.
"Y-yeah..yes. I-I'm with you. What's going on?" He managed to say weakly as he nodded. Finally, his eyes had gotten used to what he saw around him. In front of him stood a male he had never seen before, at least he didn't remember seeing him. The teen was tall, maybe around 6 foot with bright blue eyes and shimmering brown hair. He was nearly flawless in his looks besides a small birthmark under his left eye. As Jameison moved to stand up he remembered he was still strapped down to the seat. He glanced around again, quickly realizing where he was.
"Oh no..." He said as he fumbled quickly to unbuckle his restraints. "No..no no no.." He muttered to himself.
"Jameison? What's the problem?" The boy said as he took a small step back, giving Jameison room to stand up.
Before he even had time to finish his sentence, Jameison was already by the far wall, searching for a window. At last he found one, small, rectangular box that could be used as a peep hole. He looked out and shuddered. "No...Not now. Not yet." He said shakily.
As he turned back to face the brown haired male he realized the full extent of the situation. Lining the walls and the floor were nearly 50 seats with kids his age sitting in restraints. Some were still asleep, others were looking around lazily like he had been not even a minute ago. One girl stood out against the others. She looked to be about 3 years younger than the rest, fearfully holding the hand of the girl sitting beside her.
"Jameison. What on Earth are you playing at?" The brown haired male inquired as he stepped closer to him.
"Call me Jamie. Please...I hate that name." He said as he glanced around the room, locating a ladder in the far corner. He could hear soft and distant voices coming from the direction of it.
"Okay fine, Jamie. But that still doesn't answer my question." The blue eyed male said as he walked over and started to wake up another teen.
"Have you even bothered to look outside!?" Jamie snapped back at him before sighing and quieting his voice, "I'm...I'm so sorry. They've...they've sent us to Earth."
Suddenly any muttering that was happening previously ceased and Jamie was the center of attention. The younger girl began to cry and mutter, "E-earth?"
Jamie looked around. He noticed how many people there were and wasn't shocked when he saw people begin to climb down from the ladder.
"How many of you are there up there?" Jamie asked the female who was first to enter the first level.
She walked over and stuck out her hand, "About 50. I'm Lilly Anderson. You're Jamie MacMillain right? I admire your work." She let herself reveal a small smirk as she awaited him to shake her hand.
Jamie looked down at her hand and shook it, noticing the thick silver bracelet on her arm that was nearly identical to the one he was wearing.
"Uhm...work?" The blue eyed male asked with a tone of confusion as he was helping someone out of her seat.
"Oh yes. Of course. This is Jameison MacMillain. The guy who single-handedly took out 2 armed guards on his own after brutally attacking his ex!" Lilly said as she grinned maliciously, "Of course there was a little alcohol and drugs involved but those are minor details. What I want to know is how he did it! How were you able to kill them in less than 2 minutes! Use details!"
Jamie noticed the girl who had begun to cry and ushered Lilly away from him as she had stepped closer to him, "N-no...not now Lilly." He walked over to the young girl and knelt down, gently cupping her face in his hands and wiping away her tears.
"Shh...shh what's the matter, kid? It's all going to be OK just tell me what's wrong." He asked her quietly as the people behind him began to converse.
She looked up at him, her teary brown eyes full of fear. "M-Marcie won't wake up and I want my mommy." She whimpered as Jamie helped to unbuckle her seat restraints. Immediately after he moved on and began to try and wake the older girl beside the young one.
"What's your name?" He asked her as he started to unbuckle the unconscious girl.
She stood with her hands tightly squeezed together in front of her. "Madeline. Marcie calls me Mads sometimes though." She replied quietly as she sniffled.
Jamie nodded, "Well, Mads. Marcie is going to be fine. I want you to go get that tall guy over there and tell him to help you wake up Marcie, OK? I've got to go scout things out." He instructed her calmly. She reluctantly nodded and walked over to the male.
Jamie stood up and nodded to himself before heading towards the ladder. He climbed up inside the 2nd floor and immediately was surprised when he saw at least 40 people standing around talking to each other. Some seemed absolutely petrified and others were happier than a bunch of otters. Jamie's heart was beating a mile a minute as he climbed back down the ladder and walked over to the young girl and the male. He noticed a worried look on the girls face and a sad look on the males.
"What's going on?" Jamie asked as the young girl hugged his waist.
"She's...not looking so good. Look." He moved the girls head gently away from the back of the seat revealing a bloody gash in her skin, "the landing must have jolted her more than anticipated."
Jamie covered Madeline's eyes and nodded, "we need to find help. Maybe there are survivors from the Ark down here that can help us."
The boy looked at Jamie like he was insane. "What are you talking about? Are you insane? The air out there could still be toxic! By the time they all got to the ground they would have already been dead from the velocity of the station. It's scientifically impossible."
Jamie shook his head, "That's what you think but I think you're wrong. I guess we'll just have to find out."
Suddenly there was a noise like an air lock was being opened and a bunch of people gasped. Jamie, Mads, and the male all three shielded their eyes as a blinding light flooded through the shuttle room.
"Welcome to Earth, Skaikru. We meet at last."
