"Chaeyoung-ah~" Jungkook woke me up from my thoughts. "I'm so excited!"
"Ne." I responded to him, sounding uninterested.
He must've felt my emotionless response so his smile turned upside down and sat beside me. "Chaeyoung-ah... lighten up. I know it's still hard for you, but it's already been a year. I'm sure he'll be happy for you." He pressed his two pointing finger at both corners of my lip and slowly pushed it upward. "Smile... it always looks good on you."
I, then, voluntarily smiled with his action. "There.. that's more like it." He complimented. "Let's go.. we don't want to be late." We went downstairs, to be greeted by his parents chatting in the living room.
"Look at the two of you. You're both grown up now." Jungkook's dad stood up and eyed the both of us..
"I agree with you, dear. I never thought I'll see the day where these two will look like this. I mean, look at them, I feel like it was just yesterday when they run around our house screaming and shouting, and now they both grew up aesthetically." Jungkook's dad added.
"Umma~" he whined at how his mom reminisce the past us. I just chuckled at his action.
"Sorry son. I'm just overwhelmed at this moment."
"I think we should go now before a drama starts." His dad joke and everyone bursted out laughing. Soon, we all entered our car, his dad on the driver's seat, mom on the passenger's and us at the back, me sitting beside the window and Jungkook beside me.
"You okay?" Jungkook's voice suddenly echoed in my ear. I turned around, looking at him with confusion in my eyes.
"You look uneasy since this morning. What's bothering you?"
"Uhh.. nothing. Just thinking of... stuffs."
"Could you set those aside first? It's not good for you today. You should be happy and nothing else. Okay?"
I nodded. "I'll try."
"You should. You know..." he paused. "This is not easy for me too. I know hyung told you something about this because he also did to me. But look at me, do I look like I'm bothered with it right now? Outside, no it doesn't. But I felt the complete opposite on the inside. I think you should too. Don't let others see what you really feel inside. It'll just make everything worse."
"O-okay... thanks, Kookie. You don't know how you make my life easier through this times."
"It was nothing. I'm glad I'm making a good job"
"We're here!" His dad announced and we all got off of the car.
His parents part ways from us while Jungkook and I went to the opposite side, meeting everyone else.
We saw our other friends already arrived. "Hey guys!" I waved at them.
"Hey, Chae. Wassup Kookie." Jimin oppa greeted us with his very energetic self. I gave each one of them a hug.
"I'm so excited~" Taehyung oppa exclaimed. Agreed by Jimin oppa and Jungkook.
"Us, too. This is the day we all been waiting for." Yoongi oppa spoke.
"Yeah... if only Namjoon is here then it'll be all better." Hoseok oppa added. Then my mood suddenly become gloomy.
"Yah! Hoseok! Look at you've done. You made everyone's mood gloomy." Seokjin oppa scolded him then he went and comforted me. "It's alright, Chae."
"It's okay oppa. I know all of us miss him. Hoseok oppa is right. It is better if he's here with us right now."
"Shhh... I forbid everyone for being sad at this day. Come on guys, cheer up. Today's a special day for these munchkins and we better be happy for them. Arasseo?"
"Ne hyung." They all obeyed the eldest.
-----------------
"CONGRATS TO YOU ALL~ I'M SO PROUD OF YOU~" Seokjin oppa hugged us like a real brother.
"Thanks hyung."
"Thank you oppa."
"Now... what are you planning to do?" Hoseok oppa asked no one in particular.
Everybody shrugged. "Let's celebrate. We're finally out of this university. Although we're all going to miss everyone in this school." Jimin oppa suggested.
"Where do you guys want to go?" Jungkook's mom asked us.
"Anywhere will do, Mrs. Jeon." Tae oppa answered shyly.
"Alright. Let's go! Our treat." His dad announced which made everyone cheered.
"Wait. Let me get something in my locker first."
"I'll go with you." Jungkook offered.
"No. No. I'm fine. I'll be quick." I assured them then I disappeared from them.
I hummed a random song while walking to my locker. The hallways are quiet because everyone already left the campus and are now celebrating their graduation with their family and friends.
I reached my locker and put the code to unlock it. It clicked indicating that I entered the right code and I opened it. I grabbed my notebook and my other personal things.
"Oh!" I exclaimed. I saw a white envelope on the second row of my locker. I bended my knees a little to look at it closer.
That's weird.
I don't remember leaving an envelope here.
Due to my curiosity, I grabbed and observed it.
It doesn't have anything written outside. Wonder who this came from.
I tore one side of it and pulled the paper inside it.
'To Chaeyoung' it read
'Congratulations to you, Jungkook, Taehyung and Jimin's graduation. You deserved all of this. Remember to always be happy and continue pursuing your dreams that you always wanted to do. Never let anyone hinder you from doing those. I'm so happy for you. Again, congratulations you're already one step closer to your dreams. I will always be here for you.
Hwaiting~ ^ ^'
It ended there. My eyes got a little watery by what was written on that letter although I have no idea who it came from. There are no traces of whoever the sender is. It's just a plain white paper and those scribbles written on it.
I folded it back on it original form and kept it in between the pages of my notebook. Then I went back to my friends.
"Let's go!" I exclaimed and we all went to Jungkook's parents' car.
While on the way to wherever we're going, I stared out of the window which is my usual thing to do recently even though the others are busy chit chatting with each other.
Until now, I'm still bothered at who sent that letter. That person knows the boys, not only me so maybe he's close to us. The first and only person that came into my mind is Namjoon and no one else at this moment. But that's impossible, really impossible.
I kept myself busy, still thinking of whoever sent that until someone cut off my thoughts, announcing that we've arrived at our destination.
