Dan's POV:
"I wonder where Hunter is," says Phil as he plays with his mashed potatoes. I roll my eyes.
"I don't think you should be his friend," I tell Phil as calmly as I can.
"Why do you say that?" He looks up at me from across the lunch table.
"I don't like the way he looks at you. It's like he wants to eat you or something." I shudder at the thought.
Phil laughs at me. "Hunter's right, you are jealous," he says in between laughter.
"Hunter told you that?!"
"Well not really. He just said that most of the Daniel's he knows get jealous easily or something along those lines."
"I still don't think you should be his friend," I sigh.
"Look, Hunter is new to the school. He doesn't know anyone. I can't just leave him all alone. You use to be new too, Dan. How would you like it if I just suddenly stopped being your friend?" Phil asks.
"But, Phil, that's not the point. The point is that I think you shouldn't trust him," I respond.
Phil shakes his head. "You don't even know him."
"I do- don't. You're right. Just please be careful around him," I say in defeat.
"I will, don't worry."

French is usually interesting to me. Today I can't concentrate. All I can think about is Phil's safety. I have no idea how I'm going to tell him about Hunter.
My thoughts are interrupted by my vibrating phone.

Meet me in the restrooms. You better show up or else...I debate whether I should go or not. I don't want to risk it so I end up deciding on going.
I raise my hand to ask permission to leave.
"Oui, mister Howell?"
"May I go to the restroom?" I ask.
"In French please," says Mr. Leroy in his heavy (dirtysoul) French accent.
"Puis-je aller à la toilette?" I sigh. ( shout out to google translate)
"Oui, yes, you may."
I dread every step there. Once I finally get to the restrooms, I almost run back out. I really, really dont want to talk to him.
There's no one inside. That's strange. Is he just messing with me?
I turn around to leave when I bump stright into someones chest. I gasp in surprise. They instinctively wrap their arms around me to keep me from falling- or at least that's what I think. I stand there and wait for them to let me go, but they don't. They just keep hugging me.
"I've missed you so much, Danny," the person says in my ear.
I freeze.
It takes a couple of seconds for my brain to react. I push him off of me with as much force as I can. That's a lot considering I'm an angel or some shit. He slams hard into the wall behind him. A normal person would have at least gotten their breath knocked out of them, but he doesn't. He just leans against the wall and looks at me with wide, green eyes. There's something different about him...
