[Life's as a Stoplight]
Red
Orange
GreenThe signs of life
But we break them daily
And even dieTickets fill our bodies
Like the dust to the land,
Some expensive
Some affordableThe police are maggots
Eating out our flesh,
Collecting the payments
For the tickets in
ourselvesRed
Orange
GreenThe signs of life
But I broke red once
And I diedFather please forgive me
For I couldn't wait
Life was moving slowly
And I was hesitantThen I found myself
in a deathly slumber,
But when I arouse
I saw only fireAnd souls dancing in the
flames and ashes
This afterlife is nothing
To play withRed
Orange
GreenThe signs of life
I wish I waited
For the signal to driveBut I was distracted by
golden images,
Fast fortunes, fame and
endless riches
So I drove pass the signs
And indeed, I stumbledWith the ground opened
As the receiver of my life
For red was actually hell
And I missed heaven
By a colour; Green
And my punishment was
endless fireRed
Yellow
GreenThe signs of life
Study them carefully
If you want to survive.
