Awkward

I woke up with a start. Music was playing somewhere. I tried to find the source of the annoying tune with my eyes still closed but eventually gave in. I grabbed my phone to turn off the alarm. 7:25!! I only had five minutes to get ready in time for the bus. Three if you count getting to the bus stop. I scrambled out of bed and slipped on my uniform shirt from yesterday. I looked around desperately for my school pants. After rummaging through my laundry bag, I settled for a pair of semi-clean black tights. My English teacher wouldn't be happy but it would have to do. I snatched a head band from my dresser and ran outside. I was halfway down my driveway when I realised I had forgotten my bag. A stitch on my side burned but I ignored it as I sped around the corner. The bus was just coming in to site. I sighed in relief.

"Hey Luce!" My stomach dropped when I heard the familiar voice. I hesitated, making up my mind. Should I sit with them? Could I just sit here without them noticing? Too late. Sam was ushering me over and patting the seat next to them.  What do I say? I thought as I sunk reluctantly into my usual seat. My head was spinning. Well they don't know that I know. I could just pretend that I don't know anything. No, I couldn't do that. It'd be too weird. I should just let Sam know. I opened my mouth. The words thankfully faded when Sam said, "Want me to do your hair again?" I felt guilty for the silent breath of relief I had let out. I'd have to tell Sam at some point. But not then. Ideally not ever.

I have drawn up a story board in my mind so don't worry the next chapter is coming soon!! If you have any suggestions to improve my writing then feel free to comment or message me.

My question for you is: Who is your favourite character so far?
