Call You Mine

Chapter 5 - Horrible Information

"How is she holding up?"

"Okay I guess."

"Want us to stay with her while you get something to eat and shower ? "

" That would be nice of you. Thanks. Call me if she wakes up, okay? "

"Of course."

"Any movements? "

" No."

"I hope she gets better soon. I miss her."

"We all do."

"She squeezed my hand!"

"Really?"

"Yes. Ashley ?"

"Ash? "

My eyes flutters open.

At first the light burns my vision,  soon I adjust to the scene in front of me. The mixture of quotes on my bedroom ceiling, the fairy lights displayed next to my head board and my yellow curtains.

" Ash? Can you hear me? " Jake's memorable voice is heard.

" Who can not hear that annoying voice of yours? " I say in a jokingly hoarse voice. I can hear some people chuckling at that statement. My throat is super dry and I don't even know how long I've been out of it.

" Do you want some water , dear?" Luna Claire's voice is heard. I simply nod.

My bed is adjusted so that I am in a seating position. It's now that I realize all the people that are in the room; Alex seating on my study chair with Chloe next to him, Aley standing at the foot of my bed, Jake siting in a chair at my left side with Luna Claire hovering over him .

"Here you go." Luna Claire hands me the glass of water and I struggle to hold it up, but with Jake's help I manage to hold on and drink it all.

"Better?" Jake asks concern evident on his face.

"Yes, thanks. How long have I been out?" I demand.

"Only for two days." Luna Claire rubs my hair lovingly. "That's unusual from our healing time." I frown. Healing always takes a day or less. "Yes. But you had a concussion and healer saw it better to induce you in a coma until your brain stopped swelling." Luna explains "Ashley I wish I could stay longer, but I have a meeting to get to. I'll get the healer on my way back. I'll come by later." she kisses my head and leaves.

"Shit. I missed your game, guys . I'm sorry." I smile weakly, while squeezing Jake's hand and looking at Alex.

"Nah, you didn't miss it. After the attack, the game was postponed to next week's Friday. I'm just happy you're okay." he squeezes my hand back.

"Good, cause now I can come." I smile.

"No, just concentrate on getting better. " Jake ruffles my hair.

The healer, the brother of Alpha Michael, walks in with his medical bag. He was older than Alpha Michael, he had refused to be the Alpha, he was always interested in healing instead. He was dressed in a simple grey shirt, black slacks and dress shoes.
"HI Ashley, how are you feeling today? " Garson asks so sweetly.

"Okay I guess." I smile at him. Jake moves out the way to let Garson come near me.

"Good. Do you have any headaches? Feel nauseated? Pain anywhere? Aches?" he flashing a tiny flashlight in my eyes.
