Amara rushed down the spiral staircase with Draco, meeting his family on the first floor of the manor. Bellatrix sent glares at Amara's direction, hatred in her eyes. Still, Bellatrix knew she can't harm Amara, or the Dark Lord will lose his favors towards her, and kill her. Narcissa remained silent as she watched the Dark Lord's daughter by her son's side, unsure of what to say. Lucius looked somewhat proud--- just because Amara, Voldemort's daughter, was by his son's side.

They all gathered around, and apparated at the same time. The five of them arrived outside the walls of Hogwarts, meeting with the rest of the death eaters. Hooded figures surrounded Amara, frightening her for a second. However, she recalled that they cannot do any harm to her, even if they want to, since she is their master's child. Besides, she was not clueless about dark magic. She also does not hesitate to use them like some of the Dumbledore's army. In fact, she was rather fascinated about Dark Arts. Perhaps it was something she inherited from her father.

Amara could hardly see since it was almost pitch black. She only saw the outlines of hooded figures, the trees behind them, and the vast castle before them. She also caught a glimpse of Voldemort's figure in front of all the death eaters, watching the castle for a second. All the Death Eaters waited silently for Voldemort's orders, unsure of what to do.

Amara felt it again, fear ruahing through her veins. This time, she was scared for all the people in Hogwarts, who were defending their school, their home, and their families. She did not want to harm them--- she can't harm them; but she also can't blow up her cover. Amara cannot imagine crossing paths with Hermione and having to hurt her as well.

Unable to help herself, she clutched Draco's left hand, which was only a few inches from hers, discreetly. Amara needed someone she knew; she needed a friend in the darkness. She closed her eyes, slowly calming down as soon Draco squeezed it. She opened her eyes again, catching a quick glance  of Malfoy's grey eyes.

"Pathetic they are," Amara heard Voldemort hiss to Nagini. Silence enveloped everyone once again, the tension thick and eerie, until Voldemort gave orders." Well, my friends, the time has come! Attack!"

Everyone lifted their wands in the air, casting numerous amount of spells towards Hogwarts, trying to break the barrier. Amara, as much as possible, casted weak spells that she knew, trying to buy some time. It was still sort of quiet; only low whispers and small booms (due to the spells hitting with Hogwarts' shield) were heard.Nonetheless, Draco casted his spells nonverbally, his hand still holding Amara's. No one noticed their intertwined hands since they were all to focus on disrupting the shields of the wizarding school before them.

Amara sucked in a small breath when she heard less collision sound, meaning that the shield was failing Hogwarts. She felt Draco squeeze her hands slightly again, as if to tell her that it's gonna be fine. She wanted to believe him, but it'a war. Nothing's ever fine during war. Unnecessary deaths and collateral damage takes place.

Amara heard Voldemort's and Bellatrix' sickening laughters when the Death Eaters finally broke the barrier down. She felt her heart sink as she acknowledged the fact that they had to go inside Hogwarts and attack innocent people. All the hooded figures started to walk forward; Narcissa, Lucius, Draco, and Amara being one of them.

They all started to split up when they passed the assaulting, statue soldiers by the bridge, Draco and Amara avoiding as much death eaters as they can. Although he wanted to stay and watch over Amara, Draco recalled that Crabbe and Goyle were somewhere in Hogwarts-- and being the stupid gits they are, they'd probably end up hurt. Amara understood this, of course, since she had family and friends to search for as well.

They both separated in the middle of the chaos, trying to avoid hurting innocent people as much as possible. Amara stopped when she saw a familiar face sinking his teeth into a teenage boy. Absolutely disgusted, Amara pointed her wand at Fenrir Greyback and bellowed." Stupefy! Sectumsempra!"

Greyback flew meters away from the boy, and cuts started to form all over his skin. He looked at Amara with anger and betrayal in his eyes. He choked as he spoke." T-the Dark Lord will kill you! You little traitor! I should've bitten-"

"Silencio!" Amara said." You sure talk a lot. And besides, the Dark Lord will not kill me if he never knows," Amara spoke dryly." And if you did bite me, I swear you'll be suffering more than you are now. However, I've got no time, so goodbye..... Avada Kedavra!"

Green light spurted from Amara's wand, hitting Greyback on his chest. The old furry man showed no more signs of life, his eyes blank and his body motionless. Amara did not look back at him as she hurried towards the scarred boy. She pitied the boy since she knew that he had no choice but to turn every full moon now that he was bitten. He lied unconsciously on the ground as Amara tried to seal his wound. After slightly closing it, Amara had to leave. She cannot be seen helping their supposed enemies too much.

Amara frantically ran around the castle, searching for a familiar face but not seeing one. She did not know whether this made her happy or worried. She could not find Hermione or her friends, making Amara even more very anxious.

Amara unexpectedly halted once again, realizing something that she could've done the moment she stepped away from the other death eaters. Trying to dodge the attacks, she clutched her moon shaped necklace and muttered." Invenio."

Flashes of information started to imprint on her mind, telling her exactly where Hermione is. Since she cannot apparate, she had to sprint towards what the students of Hogwarts call "The Room of Requirement."

Arriving at the seventh floor and making a few turns, Amara finally saw Hermione outside the Room of Requirement with Harry Potter, Ron Weasley... And Draco Malfoy. She was delighted to see that Draco was still alive. She did not know who to hug first; Hermione or Draco. Feeling absolutely guilty for even considering who to hug, she ran towards Hermione, her arms wrapping around her stepsister.

Hermione was stunned, but she enveloped her sister in a tight hug as well."I'm sorry."

"No,"Amara breathed." I'm the one who's sorry."

"Okay, lovely that you two are on good terms again," Anara heard Potter say," But like we're still in the middle of war-- we have to move."

"Right," both Hermione and Amara giggled slightly as they parted from the hug. Amara glanced at Draco, feeling his grey orbs watch every small moves. Unable to help it, she scurried into Draco's arms and hugged him tightly, just as she did with Hermione. Taken aback by her sudden action, Draco hesitantly wrapped his arms around her waist, hugging her back. He sighed in relief, whispering in her ear." I'm glad you're still alive."

"I'm glad you're still alive as well," Amara chuckled in his chest. She raised her head slightly, smiling. He beamed at her, even if they were in the middle of bloodshed and terror.

Realizing what was happening around them, Draco gripped Amara's waist even tighter, pulling her close to him as if she was going to slip from his hands. His stormy eyes pierced into her forest ones, muttering,"Oh, Screw it."

With that, Draco smashed his lips with Amara's, surprising her. Her eyes fluttered close as she kissed back; their lips moving in sync. He clung unto her as if she was the only thing that helped him breath-- as if she was his only hope in everything that was happening around them. She held his arm tightly, not sure how to express her feelings. Amara was confused, feeling every emotion at once. But one thing was clear in her head--- one thing is always clear in her head, and that is the boy who kissed her in the middle of the battle between the good and the bad; the light and the dark.
