Amara picked up her pencil case and sketch pad from her desk. She sat on her bed with her back against the headboard, sketching a face that was all too familiar to her; her mother.

"Your sisters with Granger?" An angry voice spat, startling Amara. She looked up from her sketchbook and saw the one and only Draco Malfoy standing right next to her bed, eyes filled with confusion and a little anger.

"How did you-"

"I was here when she visited," he stated." Under this." He pulled out the all too familiar cloak, which Amara had only seen once.

"You stole Potter's invisibility cloak?!" Amara shrieked.

"This is saint Potter's? I didn't even know, so No," Draco rolled his eyes." It was in your closet." He raised his eyebrow.

"W-what?" Amara's eyes widened. She never stole anything from Potter." I would never !"

" of course! Saint Granger the second will never steal such a thing! Im betting that my mother sent this with me for some sort of protection," Malfoy stated.

Amara's eyes squinted at him." Give it back."

"No," Malfoy said." I do not have a wand to protect myself. Besides, Potter seems to be doing well without it."

"Still, Draco! You stole it!" Amara exclaimed.

"Technically, Im not the one who stole it," Draco Malfoy stated.

"Ugh! You're impossible," Amara sighed out of frustration and returned to her drawing." I thought you went back to the wizarding world?"

"Goodness, " Malfoy snickered." I just told you moments ago that I would be there, but my bloody wand is a fake. I also would take a floo or any other way back into the wizarding world, but unfortunately, I'm not that fucking familiar with your muggle world."

"So that was real? The playground scenario? It wasn't a dream?" Amara's eyes widened.

Draco rolled his eyes and spoke with thick sarcasm." No, it wasnt real."

Amara just sighed at his comment and drowned in her own thoughts. Hermione once took Amara  to the wizarding world to accompany her in buying books; but that was ages ago in London. They moved to Australia, and,
unfortunately, Amara did not know the way to the wizarding world around here.

"I would help you get back to your world just to shut you up, but the problem is, I don't even know if there is any way to your world from Australia," Amara said." Im not that familiar with magic..... But I'm offering this house as a place for you to stay whilst you figure your way out of this world."

Draco looked shocked, but quickly returned to his cold self. He contemplated her offer, afraid to swallow his pride. He did not want to accept a muggle's offer, but he had no choice. He'd rather stay in a warm place while figuring out his way back home, than freeze his arse out in the winter snow outside.

"Fine," he grumbled.

"What was that?" Amara smirked." I didnt quite catch you."

"Dont push it, Granger," Malfoy narrowed his eyes.

"You sure are moody," Amara spoke softly as she sketched random objects that popped up in her head. "And my name's Amara."

"Fine," Draco rolled his eyes." Amara."

•••••••••

"Malfoy!" Amara hissed.

Draco Malfoy groaned and grabbed a pillow within his reach and covered his head with it. He fell asleep beside Amara hours ago. Unfortunately, he had to wake up since Amara's mom was calling her for dinner.

"Hide under the invisibility cloak just in case. Do not make a sound until I come back. I'll try to sneak you up some food," Amara whispered.

Malfoy nodded and lazily wrapped himself with the invisibility cloak, then fell back unto the bed, sleeping soundly.

Amara shook her head, a chuckle falling from her lips. She stood up and joined her family to eat downstairs.

After dinner, when her parents were either off to their room or the living room, Amara quietly sneaked a few snacks and actual food up to her room for Draco.

"Malfoy," she tried calling him. She searched her bed for the boy who hid under the invisibility cloak, but felt nothing. He wasn't on her bed.

Suddenly, Amara felt two hands grip her waist, causing her to yelp and fall flat on her bed

Malfoy laughed at Amara's reaction, his eyes shut, and his nose crinkled." You get scared so easily."

"Shut up, Malfoy," Amara groaned against her soft bed. " your food's by my fucking desk."

"Such a dirty mouth!" Malfoy mocked as he walked towards Amara's dark, mahogany desk across the bed and grabbed the plate filled with roasted chicken and spaghetti.

Amara slowly looked up from her bed, watching as the pale boy eagerly eat the plate of food she had given him.

"Staring is rude, Granger," Malfoy said." Just take a picture-it'll last longer."

Amara rolled her eyes at him and said," You should've probably checked the food. My mom tends to put something that increases uninvited people's ego. Oh wait, shit, looks like it's too late."

" ha -ha," Malfoy rolled his eyes. "What time is it?"

"12 am," Amara said. She grabbed her small macbook from her bedside table.

Draco stared at the muggle device with curiosity as he ate, his eyes never leaving the laptop. " What's that?" He asked like a little kid.

"A laptop," Amara stated."Come here, let's watch a movie."

She picked out a horror movie, wanting to see his reaction while watching it. Although she was not at all fond of scary movies, she was absolutely curious of Malfoy's reaction.

---

Turns out, Amara was more scared  than Malfoy; but that does not mean that he did not show any signs of being scared, like occasionally jumping from the bed and asking Amara why she chose that movie--it's just that Amara was the one who ended up clutching his hand when the horrendous monster appeared out of no where.

Amara's face reddened as she realized what she was doing. She was thankful that the lights were off, or else Malfoy would probably tease her nonstop for the tint in her cheeks. Hurriedly removing her hand from his, she gulped and watched the movie silently, clutching the blanket beside her instead.

"I'm never going to watch a movie with you again," Malfoy said as the movie ended.

"Why? Was the big, bad Malfoy scared?" Amara challenged.

Draco scpffed." Oh, please. I wasn't the one who's clutching another person's hand."

Amara felt her cheeks redden. She scowled at Malfoy's triumphant smile. They both bickered and bickered until they decided to sleep.
