After two hours of back and forth studying, I was interrupted by my ringing cell phone.

"Hi." My voice was hoarse, I felt anxious because it was an unknown number.

"H-Hello...Uhm, is this Savannah?" holy shit, it's him.

"Yes...yeah. This is me. Uhm, her...Savannah. Hi Gabriel...How are you?" I couldn't hide the anxiety in my voice.

"Savy, I'm good, haven't stepped on any toes recently, how are you?" I grinned like an idiot at his sarcasm. He called me Savy.

"I'm okay. I just noticed you finally decided to call me Savy, like any normal human being." My response came off as overly excited and I was now certain he thought I was obsessed with him.

My eyes darted to my bedroom door when I saw Josie approaching. She narrowed her eyes at me. I covered the phones speaker with the palm of my hand

"Get out." I whispered. She couldn't help the amused look on her face.

"Excuse me?" Shit, I never heard what Gabriel said.

"Oh, I'm sorry. I'm not speaking to you, Gabriel" she hurried to the bed and fell down beside me.

"What Gabriel? Who's Gabriel?" she mumbled eagerly.

It took everything in me not to burst into laughter; she rested her head against the cell phone to listen in on my conversation.

"I can't stop thinking about our kiss, it's driving me insane." My eyes immediately darted to Josie. Her eyes widened

"Savannah! Who have you kissed?" This time extremely loud and I was certain Gabriel heard her. I could tell he was a amused.

"Uhm... Gabriel can we meet up sometime and speak, privately?" I emphasized 'privately' and he agreed.

"I'll text you my address, okay? Bye." I ended the call.

Now, to face the painful reality of my Josephine.

"Who'd you kiss? Oh my word! Who are you and where is my sister Savannah?" she stared at me and curiosity flooded her hazel eyes.

"Do you remember the guy from Gold Reef City...." My voice was still recovery from the conversation I just had.

"What? How? Oh my word!" I grinned at her. She's being awkward.

"I don't really mean how, like I know how well, you know what I mean." She paused and prompted me to carry on.

"Turned out he is related to Tony, long story short. He was at Lola's party this past weekend. We got together and he kissed me so... I let him." She gasped and placed her hand over her mouth.

"Who are you? What have you done to my stuck up sister?" I slapped her bicep

"I'm not stuck up!" She giggled.

"Maybe a little. Why does it seem like you're uncertain?" My eyes met hers

"I'm just afraid this is a dream. I'm feeling too much too soon." She rolled her eyes and wrapped me in a hug, that I really needed.

"Stop over thinking this, Savy. If it works you'll fall in love if it doesn't; you'll learn. Just have fun, okay?" She released me and cupped my face between her hands

"Don't ruin this before giving it a chance."

"Okay, stop speaking. Its making me anxious and I'll over think." She giggled

"You're such a weirdo."

She pulled a blanket over us and we spent the rest of the evening catching up on talks about our favourite TV shows and my matric farewell.

My phone began to ring, I quickly answered it when I noticed it's the same number Gabriel called from earlier.

"You better fucking back off, I'm doing what you wanted!" His voice was cold and scary, the change in his tone sent shivers up and down my spine.

I ended the call and decided to go to bed.

What the hell.
