He immediately ended the call. With two swift moves he was standing before me.
"Who was that?" I walked towards him; I failed to mask the fear etched onto my voice.
"It was uhm...no one; have you found the juice boxes?" He just threatened to kill someone. Certified kidnapper. Right now my thoughts are running a marathon with me. Am I getting close to a pshyco killer?
I forced the juice boxes in to his hands.
"Could you please leave." I mumbled. As I looked into his eyes, I could sense the fear in just one gaze.
"Savannah..."
"Please...leave!"
"It was a prank, I pranked my friend...please, I don't want to leave." I turned and walked inside the house, he followed behind me.
"Oh, the same prank you told me about earlier?" He nodded.
"I swear there's nothing more to it. Please, you have to believe me."
He studied my face as I stood with my arms crossed, terrified of him.
"God, I hate the way you're looking at me right now." He hissed and began to leave.
He was the one threatening someone's life. I watched him leave; my heart picked up its pace when he slammed the door behind him...it was too good to be true.
I should've damn well known better, I should've seen the red flags...I should've known.

Mom had just arrived and as usual; she basically ordered me to make her a cup of tea. She wandered into the kitchen with a backpack. Shit!
"Who's is this, Savannah?"
"Oh, it's Sierra's. We studied together earlier."
"Oh, I see. How was your exam today?" she stared at me, impassively. Why was she being this weird?
"It was good to me, everything I studied. How was your day, mom?" She smiled as I went to sit down at the kitchen island.
"That's good. I've had better days; my boss is a shitty human being. Don't ever have a boss, okay?" I sent her a slight smile.
"Why do you seem down?"
"Down? No, mom. I'm just tired." She took her tea from the kitchen counter and planted a kiss on my forehead.
"Take it easy, Sav. Don't let exams stress you out this way." I hummed in response as I watched her leave to the living room.
If only my suken mood was related to exams, I knew Gabriel was too good to be true. It's just, his eyes was too damn dreamy and so was he.
My mom was busy on her laptop downstairs; I went upstairs and tried giving my dad a call.
My parents had a rough relationship and the divorce got ugly but he was still my dad and I missed him, immensely.
As usual, his phone just went straight to voicemail; usually the number doesn't even dial.
I stared at my phone contemplating whether I should message Gabriel.
He has done this before, what if the story he spinned me about everything was just that- a spinned story. What if he was in love before and still is.
Shit! I am not in love, am I? I am jumping the gun here.
I was listening to some classical music and lying down on my bed. The classical was blasting and I looked up to the celling...
Daddy is wearing his superhero clothes. Daddy says he is a superhero. He fights crime and catch bad boys and girls. It makes me sad when daddy leaves us. Daddy comes late from being a superhero. Daddy and mommy are yelling. I am watching Looney tunes with Josie. Daddy pushes mommy and she bumps the TV. I cry. "Daddy, no" Josie says. I am sad I want my Looney tunes. Daddy says bad words to mommy. Mommy is sitting on the floor. Josie hugs mommy. Daddy says bad words to Josie too. I lie down on the sofa. Daddy says I should sleep. Daddy says kids should listen to superheroes. I lay and close my eyes to sleep.
