The next morning, Harry woke up early, and went to take a shower.
When he had finished he used Draco's cologne instead of his own, and went down to breakfast. He entered the Hall with complete confidence that Malfoy could not insult his smell. Of course, he was wrong. He and Malfoy crossed paths on Harry's way into the room, and Dracos way out. As usual, Malfoy wrinkled his nose, and asked if he had been helping Hagrid clean out one of his pets.
Harry was very tempted to yell at him and tell him it was his cologne, but logic prevailed, and Harry was sure he didn't want to explain how he'd managed to get hold of such a thing.
This same treatment continued all day, and Harry was getting more and more frustrated.
By lunch time, he'd already resorted to borrowing some of Hermione's perfume. Which of course made Draco's remarks much more violent. Although Harry thought he saw jealousy in Malfoy's eyes this time, almost. Maybe it was just wishful thinking.
Harry couldn't think of any other ideas for how to get the prat to stop insulting his smell. So the next day he decided he would just go back normal, and try to ignore Malfoy's comments. Which was getting harder and harder, but Harry refused to think about why that could be. Having already determined the only explanation, lets just say he was in complete and utter denial.
