Lana and Eric sat in their king sized bed, Lana reading her book and Eric in his phone. She looked at him and shook her head, sighing. He was more into his phone than her lately and it bugged her.
"What?" He looked up and raised an eyebrow. Lana shook her head once more.
"Nothing." She mumbled. Lana closed her book and stood up, walking to the closet for new clothes. What to wear... Lana had made plans to go out with a good friend named Erin. Eric's sister. Nothing too classy, nothing too showy.
A short sleeve tight red and white lace shirt that stopped just above her belly button, high waisted jeans and red heels.
"A little too...red and seductive, don't you think?"
Seductive. Lana scoffed.
"As if you would find me seductive." She muttered and sighed. "No. I'm fine, Eric, thanks." She rolled her eyes, slipping on her jeans underneath her nightgown and then her heels. She then flung off the nightgown, pulling the rest of her shirt on.
Lana looked at herself in the mirror and did a small twirl, satisfied with her outfit. Sure, she had a child and a half, but a break from the house would be nice every once in a while. Even a break from Eric would be nice, just one night to forget about him cheating and have fun.
"Sorry. Just trying to help."
Lana didn't say anything. Instead, she went to the bathroom, finishing up her makeup and hair. She then walked downstairs to be greeted by Re'nae, Ty and Margo all watching a movie in the living room. Re'nae was snuggled into Ty, so Margo excused herself to talk to Lana.
"Where do you think you're going, pretty lady?" Margo was a middle aged woman, almost in her forties. She still looked twenty five though, never having one grey hair or wrinkles, regardless of how stressful her job was. She had dark mocha skin and beautiful hazel eyes. Her black silky hair grew down her back, almost touching her butt and she was still perfectly in shape. Being a cop for a few years paid off very well.
"I'm going out with Erin tonight," Lana blushed. "She should be here soon,"
"Be careful please, Lana. I know you're finally going out, but remember you have babies."
"I know ma I will.." and then Eric made his way downstairs. Lana instantly turned to go into the kitchen. Margo noticed her actions and followed suit. But unfortunately, Eric also followed and sat at the island table. Instead of asking like Margo originally would, she decided to just text Lana.
Beep! Beep!
"Looks like my ride's here!" Lana grabbed her purse and gave everyone a hug and a kiss before walking out. Everyone besides Eric.
"Lana."
She looked over her shoulder as she was about to close the door behind her.
"I don't get a kiss?" He pouted. She tried as hard as she could to not make any dirty looks and kissed him on the cheek.
"There. See you guys later."

They drove down the dark road, the only light coming from a few cars and a street light here and there - until they made it into the main part of town. That's when they were greeted by the many familiar street lights and people walking around, enjoying themselves."Where are we going again?" Lana asked, taking in their surroundings as they passed stores and houses.
"Some sort of house party. Except the house is way too big and it's a party for my job."
