My body was warm. Strange, but comfortable. The thick blanket drowned me in its wool and the soft bed made me sink. For a moment I thought I had escaped. I thought I was elsewhere, free from Hayden with a new red-headed best friend and a safe, normal family. But boy, I was wrong. I was no where near free. If anything, I was the furthest from it with no recollection of what had happened, or how I ended up in such a comfortable bed.

I opened my eyes, expecting to see light. Instead, I saw darkness. What the hell? What's going on?

I sat up and began to call for anyone who may be able to hear me. You're alone, they left you. No they didn't. How can you be so sure?

Ignoring the voices I threw the blanket off of me and sat up. It was dark but I felt the serious head rush coming, it happened often since my first electrocution. What did I do this time? As much as I tried to remember, I just couldn't. All I remember, really, is being strapped to the bed and feeling the powerful voltage run through my body.

I felt along the walls for any source of a light switch. After a few failed attempts and tripping over random things in the room, i found the light switch and flicked it on. My room. I'm in my room. A small figure moved under the blanket on my bed. I froze for a moment, unsure of who it could be. Maybe it's Hayden. Maybe it's Alex... Or Margo...

Then her small foot popped out. Re'nae. I ran over to the bed and pulled the covers off of her. She was sound asleep, but her face was pale and her lips were dry and cracked. My baby is sick. But how? She just got over her cold not too long ago. I felt her forehead and cheeks and sure enough, she was running a fever again.

"Hayden..." I called out. My voice was dry and hoarse as if I hadn't spoken in a few days, maybe weeks. Then again, you don't know how long you were unconscious for - once again.

I stood up and tried the door but somehow it was locked. Hayden changed the locks. It's the only explanation because my doors never locked from the outside. So I began to bang, not caring how much noise I made. My daughter is sick and it doesn't look too good.

"Hayden!"

I called for anyone.

"Alex!"

"Hay-" the door pushed open and it banged my nose. "Fuck!" I hissed and pinched the bridge of it, hoping it wouldn't bleed. "What the fuck is wrong with you?!"

"Karma's a bitch." Alex laughed. "The fuck is wrong with you?"

"My child has a fever, asshole. It'd be nice if her 'father' did something about it, he wants her back so bad doesn't he?" I sighed and walked to my bathroom as it was inside of my room. I looked in the mirror. I was a mess. My hair was wild, I had dark circles under my eyes, my skin was pale due to lack of food and sleep, my shirt had stains in it and my night shorts were becoming loose. Probably from sleeping in them for so long. But when did I put on shorts? Shaking the thought away I examined my nose. It wasn't bleeding but it hurt, bad. Then I moved on to the deep but healing gash in my thigh. Maybe another week or two.

"I'll talk to Hayden," Alex leaned on the door frame of the bathroom and crossed his arms.

"No. You'll get her medicine and food. Hayden won't do anything for her,"

"Yes he will."

"He didn't before so why would he now? I'm pretty sure she's been sick for days, am I right?"

Alex didn't say anything all he did was sigh. Exactly. "Thought so, so can you please just do us this one favor? All I'm asking from you..."
