Kaylee POV
"Girl, I still cannot believe you actually moved out of that apartment. I thought you was gone die in that bitch." Zoe laughed as she put the plates up in the cabinet. I playfully rolled my eyes as I laughed.
"Whatever. But this house is nice. I like it." I looked around the kitchen for a second.
"Oh, yeah! I forgot to beat yo ass! At least I should, since you over here doing the dirty deed, while I'm on the phone." Zoe scolded.
I laughed. "Don't blame me, blame it on Chris crazy ass."
"Speak of the damn devil." Zoe said as Chris walked into the kitchen. "I know it was you that hung up the damn phone."
Chris scrunched his face up. "So?" He shrugged as he walked to the refrigerator, kissing my cheek in the process.
"So, Chris!" Zoe suddenly said loudly, making me and him slightly jump.
"Damn, woman, why you talking so loud? I'm right here!" Chris rubbed his ear as I laughed. "What is it?"
"When are you going to pop the question to Kaylee?" I gave her a death glare as Chris choked on his juice.
"Seriously, Zoe?" I said as I patted Chris' back. His face was red.
"Hey, I'm just wondering." Zoe threw her hands up.
"You know what yo' problem is, Zoe?" Chris finally managed to speak.
"No, what?" She crossed her arms.
"You wonder too damn much." He cleared his throat.
"Okay, you two. Enough." I laughed as I grabbed the box of cups and began to put them up. "Chris, honey, did you want anything else?"
"Nah, it can wait, Kay. I just wanted something to drink."
"I bet you did." Zoe remarked.
"Zoe! That's enough!" I laughed. "Chris, babe, just go back to the room. I'll be there shortly when we're done with this."
Chris just shook his head at Zoe before walking away muttering something to himself about her. I shook my head as I laughed.
"Y'all gone be the death of me one day." I laughed as we both went back to work.
"Hey, it's not my fault he's afraid of marriage."
"He's not afraid, we're just waiting for the right time. Well, at least he is."
-
"Call me later, okay?" I said as I hugged Zoe. She was getting ready to leave.
"Alright, girl. Bye, LIGHTBULB!" She yelled to Chris. I stale faced her.
"LATER, WONDER-WEAVE!" Chris' voice yells back, making me gasp and cover my mouth.
"Okay, bye, Zoe. I'll see you later. Call me when you get home." I quickly rushed her out the house before she could end up hurting Chris.
"I'm gone kick his ass one day, Kaylee. Believe that." She began to walk away to her car. I laughed.
"It's okay, just ignore him, Zoe." I waved to her as she started her car and pulled out of the driveway. She waved goodbye to me before pulling off, and I went back in the house before going into the kitchen, where Chris was on his phone and drinking some water.
"You know, one day, she's gonna hurt you if y'all don't leave each other alone." I laughed as I grabbed a cold water bottle and he shrugged his shoulders.
