Chapter 17 ~ becoming a member of the team

"Team head out." Finished Batman turning back to the holo screen.  The team cleared the room, and I stayed put.

I was sitting in the vent of the cave right above the stove. Why? You may ask. Why is she in the vents. Well I am here because Batman said he had something super urgent to tell me and that I had to wait in the cave. So instead of being a smart person and hiding in one of the rooms I hid in the vent.

" Please open the bay doors." A voice echoed across the cave. The doors opened then closed that's when I knew i was safe and walked out into the mission room.

" Soo what was so important that I had to listen to that entire conversation about a mission I'm not even going on." I asked adjusting my mask on my face.

" You are going with them." He simply said turning towards me.

I raised a brow," But, they have this under control don't they."

" No you are going as back-up."

" Can I take the batwing?"

" Yes."

I sighed," But dadddd I haven't used it in a long- wait what did you say?"

" Yes"

" Noo way, omg. I cannot believe it, your letting me take it, AHHHHHH!" I started running around flailing my arms all over the place.

" Star if you don't stop I will take away that privilege."

I ran in front of him and placed my hands behind my back," Sorry."

" You leave in 5 minutes get ready." I nodded and I left.

I opened an eye to be greeted by the blazing sun. I groaned and put a hand up to cover the sun from my eyes when I noticed that I had my mask on, I looked down at my clothes and found I was wearing a uniform.

" Great, where am I?" I looked around to see Robin a few feet away from me unconscious. I ran towards him and checked for a pulse," it's still beating.... good." and started shaking him. After a few minutes of trying to wake him up I gave up and looked around.

" Where am I?" My head snapped over to Robin who was rubbing his head and looked around.

" G!" I yelled tacking him to the ground again.

" Wait... your here to.... Wait, where exactly is here?" He asked pushing me off him, car engines started in the distance. We looked at each other and went behind the huge boulder that was behind us.

" Bilayian soldiers." I whispered to him. They past by us and he took out his watch and started typing.

" What are bilayians doing in......," he took a few seconds to find out where we were," bilayian, what the heck are we doing in bilaya?"

" maybe a mission." I suggest," where's dad he shouldn't be to far right?" I got up and searched around.

" You're right I'll radio him."
