Chapter 28 ~ We need to save him

CRYSTALS POV

"Are we just going to sit here and stare at each other?"

When my dad told me to go to the Batcave i thought he wanted to talk.

Que talk y que nada!

I legit have been  just sitting here for the past thirty minutes with my dad staring intensely into my soul. I know my dad, comforting talks isn't really his strong suit, but you'd think he would've been prepared if he called me here.

"Are you okay Crystal?" He FINALLY said.

"Are you kidding me?" I looked at him and gave him the 'are you kidding me face', "after all of this your question is are you okay?"

"Im sorry I really don't know-"

"I can tell Father, but I'm pretty sure i have made it very clear that i am very much not okay."

"Is there anything i can do to help you?" I sat there thinking for a second.

I need to get to Roys, but excuses do not and will never work for my dad. Sometimes it sucks being his daughter.

"Not really, but I need to go do something important." I stood up and walked towards the Zeta-tubes.

"Crystal wait-" I cut him off

"Bye dad Love you!!"

I left and put the coordinates to Roys place. In situations like these I need Roy. He never knows what to do, he's that awkward but he's dependable no matter what.

Roy was on the couch with his uniform on watching TV. He looked back and smiled at me.

"Hey Star what's up?" I sighed and sat next to him on the couch.

"Life. Life is what's up." I said while taking off my sunglasses and placing them on the table next to the couch.

"I heard the simulation was a huge bust." I looked at him tears brimming my eyes. He looked back at me and panicked a little.

"Did I say something bad?!?" He got up and rushed to get tissues. I laughed and shakes my head.

"The s-simulation went terribly. " he sat back down and passed me some tissues. I wiped my eyes and looked down at my lap.

"Everybody died. And I witnessed all of it." More tears started falling down my face, I grabbed another tissue and blew my nose.

"What do you mean everybody died?"

"The simulation was made so that no matter what we did we would fail, and because of that they all died. Wally and G died saving me, freaking Chase died because he tried to go back to help them, Artemis, superboy, and Aqualad died saving saving us, and Manhunter killed Miss M and I."

"Why would Manhunter kill you and his niece?" He looked confused.

"We were the last ones alive so apparently he had to get Miss M in shock because her mind had taken over the simulation, but if I was stuck in it when it was deteriorating I would be put in a permanent coma so he killed both of us." I had stopped crying and started fiddling my thumbs.

"It's been haunting me forever Roy. Nightmare after nightmare, they just never stop. That's why I barely sleep because the second my head hits my pillow bad things happen. Those kinds of things you can't just forget, it takes months, or even years of therapy and I don't have time for that."

"Star I'm going to be real with you. I don't know what to tell you nor what to do," I laughed and smiled," but I can give you cheesecake." I nodded.
