Desperate

☽ prologυe ☾

*beep beep*

Lana tossed in annoyance at the constant beeping coming from Jason's phone, without hesitating she grabbed his phone to see several messages from an unknown number.

Lana read the messages, each one creepier than the last

'Lana'

'Baby wake up'

'I know you're awake- look at the phone'

In that moment the unknown number sent another text

'Reply to my messages'

She stared at the phone hesitantly

The phone beeped again 'Now!'

She quickly picked up the phone and sent the unknown number heart emojis not knowing what to say

'That's it? A few heart emojis?'

"Sorry" Lana whispered to herself

'It's ok baby girl'

Lana looked down at the text and looked up from the phone shaking in fear

Jason please I'm begging you wake up

The phone went off again 'baby talk to me'

'I'm sorry but it's late and I'm tired, I want to go to sleep'

'Do you really think I give fuck if you're tired?'

Lana gasped taken aback by the harshness of the last text

'I'm sorry'

'I love you so much Lana and this is how you treat me- pathetic'

Lana read the message several times coming to the realization that it was Dylan texting her- in the house.

'I love you too baby but I'm tired and I just want to sleep right now'

Lana cringed at the message she sent knowing the words were absolutely meaningless

"Stop lying" 

Lana turned around towards the door after hearing a deep voice and seeing the outline of a tall male figure, she immediately scooted closer to Jason hugging onto him.

*beep beep*

Lana looked over at the phone not daring to reach for the phone this time

'Jason can't save you all the time'

Lana looked up at the door to see the figure had gone away

'I'm still here with you there's no need to be afraid-Goodnight'

Lana grabbed Jason and hugged him even tighter burying her face in his neck, Jason subconsciously wrapped his arms around Lana.

Lana's breathing soon became steady and she felt herself drifting off into sleep, but this time she prayed not to be awoken by Dylan again.
