"Jase?" Lana said sitting on the kitchen counter following Jason's movements while making breakfast

"Yes doll?"

Lana thought before she said her next comment and hoped it wouldn't upset Jason

"I promise I won't get mad doll just said it" He said looking at Lana with a promising smile

"Ok fine I was just going to ask that don't you think it's been a bit too quiet lately?"

"It has but that's a good thing" Jason furrowed his eyebrows

"I know but Dylan has been way too quiet and I'm starting to get nervous"

"There's nothing to be nervous about Dylan knows his place and hopefully by now he realizes that I nor you are to be messed with"

"I guess you're right but almost a week has past and it's almost as if he disappeared"

"Lets hope he did"

"And if he didn't?"

"Then next time around I'll make sure he does" Jason turned to Lana eyes black as night

Lana gasped "Jase you promised you wouldn't get mad!"

"I'm not mad" Jason said

Lana looked deep into the pits of his black eyes and noticed it was almost as if his eyes had gotten even blacker.

"Yes you are Jase you're eyes tell it all" 

"I'm sorry doll it's just you know how protective I get when it comes to you"

"I know I just wanted to let you know"

"I understand and I appreciate you telling me how you're feeling"

*buzz buzz*

The two looked over at the phone buzz on the kitchen counter and before Lana could grab it Jason was already reading the message.

Lana looked at Jason waiting for him to read the text aloud but he just kept to himself "Jase?"

"Hm?" Jason grunted

"Who is that?"

"No one of importance doll just business"

Jason had now moved closer to Lana but was still facing her to ensure that she couldn't read the message

"Jason seriously? Who is it?"

"Doll" Jason eyed Lana

"Jason" Lana said eyeing him back

"Doll if I show you this I swear you better not try to get me into anything"

"Just show me Jason!"

"Ok here"

He handed the phone over to her watching her eyes move across the screen and noticed her eyes reading over the same sentence again and again; each time her facial expressions hardened.

'I got her' The message read

"I got her what does that-" Lana said then quickly looked down at the contact name

"Ivan" She whispered to herself

That's when it all clicked and Lana knew exactly who Ivan was talking about "Jase he has her, Jason he has her!" Lana didn't know what to feel at this moment but Jason could read it all over her

It was clear to see that she was hurt and frustrated at herself and blamed this mainly on herself

"Jason I know you said not to get you involved but I have to go and get her or at least talk to her she's my best friend"

"No Lana I'm serious"

"Can I at least go and visit her?"

"Give her a week and maybe then we can go"

"A week Jason really?! I know Marzia and I know she is not mentally, emotionally nor physically strong enough to go through even half of what I went through with you! I don't think she'll even last a week!"

"Well Ivan's not me he's a hell of a lot more sympathetic and would never lay his hands on her"

"I'm not to sure about that"

"Look I know Ivan a lot more than you do and I know that he wouldn't do anything to hurt her"

"Ok lets see in a week" Lana said her arms crossed

Jason had his arms between Lana's body while he was looking down at her with his eyes still black

"Well this is a great start to our morning, isn't it?"

"Yep never better"

"Hey" Jason grabbed Lana's arms and brought them to her sides

"Please don't be mad at me" Jason said with a genuine expression

"I'm not mad I'm just a bit disappointed"

"Don't play that card on me"

"What card?"

"The 'oh I'm so sad I just wish magically a tall and handsome man by the name of Jason McCann would swoop down and save my best friend Marzia from that bad bad man Ivan'" He said making a bad impression of Lana

"First of all, you know I don't sound like that and second I just want to make sure my friend is at least in good hands"

"I know I'm just teasing you" He smiled

"So now what Jase? Do I just wait around for a week and hope for the best?"

"I mean yeah basically"

"Jase I-"

"Doll I promise you now is not the right time for us to go waltzing into the house asking where Marzia is; Marzia is Ivan's girl now and whenever he decides it's right for us to go and visit her then we will ok?"

"I thought you said we would visit her after a week?"

"I'm saying that we should wait a minimum of a week for us to even go near the house. Marzia will need time to calm down and get used to Ivan and the gang, so because of this I'm saying at minimum she will need a week to somewhat adjust to her new home"

"He better treat her right or else I swear I will teach him a lesson" Lana said crossing her arms again

"Ooo that'll really show him" Jason mocked

"Ha ha ha it's really funny isn't it?" Lana faked laughed at him

"Baby don't do this please you know I'm just joking around with you"

"Baby? That's a new one and I know Jason" She sighed

"It just slipped out doll and we were off to a good start this morning too" Jason said looking at the marks on Lana's neck 

Lana noticed Jason looking at the marks and covered her neck in annoyance

It's going to be a long day, the two thought to themselves
