Desperate

         Jason continued to keep the smug smile on his face whilst knowingly speeding down the highway. Although that smug expression dropped once he remembered his purpose for driving like a maniac at almost midnight.

"Oh fuck" He whispered to himself quickly switching into the exit lane

"I almost missed the exit"

After a few more minutes of intense driving Jason pulled up to a well renowned restaurant in the Windy City.

Seeing as it's winter and midnight, Jason knew that it wouldn't be too suspicious that he was covering his face with his coat and scarf.

"The whole world thinks I'm dead, lets keep it that way" He whispered continuing to walk toward the restaurant doorway until he felt a strong pair of arms pull him from behind. Within the next second the unknown person was sent to the ground at a supernatural speed.

"Jeez someone can't take a prank" the unknown person said half to himself and half to Jason

"Some prank" Jason scoffed

The man stood up with ease making it obvious that he was unbothered by Jason's attempt to knock some sense into him.

"Well I guess now would be a good time to make a more formal introduction" The man said holding his hand out for a handshake

"I'm the darkness, pretty much the devils son, but please call me Dan"

Jason shook Dan's hand "Nice to meet you Dan I'm Jason, you already know who I am so let's get down to business already"

"Last time I talked to you Jason you were begging me to bring you back into the mortal world for that girl"

He paused "Now look at you, here we are once again because of that little mortal girl"

"Can we go inside already?"

"Inside? Oh no you should know me better than that we're taking this business into my brand new Maserati"

Dan unlocked the doors walking towards the vehicle causing Jason to follow closely behind

"You told me that we were meeting at this restaurant to discuss business, so why exactly are we taking serious business into your car?"

"You're exactly right Jason I did tell you to meet me in front of the restaurant but I never said that we would dine there silly goose."

"You made me leave my girl home alone, have me put on my nicest attire, and drive like a manic down the highway only to discuss business with you in your car?"

"Well when you put it that way-" Dan said sitting in the drivers seat closing the door to his car

Jason rolled his eyes and hopped into the passenger seat closing the door

"Yes I did" He smiled

Dan started the ignition and drove off into the unusually quiet streets of the Windy City.

"Where are we going?" Jason questioned

"No where in particular I'm just going to drive us around until the business discussion is over and after I will drop you back off to your car"

"Ok sounds like a plan to me"

"Good so lets get down to business Mr. Jason McCann"

"Ok well to begin with Dylan-"

"Oh yes Lana's ex-boyfriend" He glanced at Jason smirking

Jason's fist clenched as the freshly suppressed memories arose from his mind, taking a deep breath and unclenching his fist Jason carried on the conversation.
