"Ella are you sure you don't want a lift?"Layla asked me, looking very unsure. I looked into her warm chocolate eyes and sighed heavily.
"Lay I love you, and you are my best friend, but remember I am not three and I can make my way to my house on my own."
"Ugh...it's just... It's so late, and dark and just..."
"Ok. If something happens to me on the way, I give you permission to kick my stubborn ass"
"That's not funny you jerk!" She exclaimed and playfully hit my shoulder.
"I really need to go. Love you Layla" I said before hugging her tightly.
"I love you too" She answered and let go of me" just please give me a call as soon as you step into your house"
"Yea, yea I know" I said rolling my eyes.
When I walked out of Laylas apartment building, I started walking in the direction of mine. I passed the shops, many filled up clubs and restaurants. I really didn't want to move by the Main Street, because I find it to noisy so I turned into a quiet one. I was just passing an alley made with trees when I heard movement beside me. I stopped in my track and turned around to see if my mind was just playing tricks on me. My heart almost stopped when instead of expected nothingness, I saw a man about three feet away from me. In the dim light of the lanterns I could see he was tall, with a mop of swooshed hair and a stern look on his face. He didn't look old whatsoever. Around my age.
I tore my sight away from him and continued walking, ignoring the rapid bit of my heart. However with every step I took, I could feel the stranger following me. I quickened my pace, and so did he. I finally decided to run.
And so I ran as fast as I could. I ran and ran until my feet felt numb.I finally started to feel dizzy, which caused me to fall to my knees in some park. I closed my eyes hoping that whoever was chasing me gave up, but my desire had vanished almost as soon as it was said in my head, because I felt a pair of strong arms lift me from the ground. 'Ple-please...dd-don't hurt me' I whispered weakly, but got no response. The last thing I remember was seeing a pair of dark eyes staring down at me sternly. Than I lost the battle with my exhausted body and slipped of the state of consciousness.
