They whip through the vortex wildly. They reach out to each other, hoping to grasp something physical as they lash around. Alexandria finally collects herself and rushes for the others. She glides over to Nikal, who thankfully accepts. Aleissia eventually regains her balance as well and drifts through the vortex with the others, grabbing tight onto Avrel with both arms. Sevantei picks himself up and streams after them. They ease themselves to a slow glide through the vortex.

Now that the group was out of danger, Alexandria carefully guides them through to a new adventure. They pass cities and watch them being built. They watch forests shrinking to seeds under the ground, through the orange glow of the vortex. They jut into space and fly past spaceships and stations. It was all very glorious, but Aleissia wanted to go in depth, instead of just passing by.

"Alex!" Aleissia calls out. Alexandia looks over but doesn't look like she heard. Aleissia looks at Avrel as if to apologize and then let's go of him and drifts over to Alexandria. Avrel holds his balance while he watches Aleissia fly away from him.

"Where are we going?" She asks above the wooshing winds.

"I don't know," Alexandria responds. "But I will when we get there."

"What does that mean?" Aleissia retorts.

"It means I need to test you." I may finally have a replacement... she thinks

"Don't you think we could rest for a while? Or explore some more?" Aleissia tries to convince.

"Maybe if you do well I'll reward you," Alexandria tells her with a smile.

Well, that's a start, Aleissia thinks to herself. Though she isn't all too happy about the outcome.

Alexandria leads them through the vortex into a stone room. Once assembled, she begins to explain, "We have work to do. This world of yours is, in reality, nothing like it seems. That reality only seems the way it does because I exist. Your job is to, well, do my job. I need to see how well you perform your, as they would say, God-given responsibility."

"So, what are you trying to say?" Avrel inquires.

"You're gonna keep humanity in the dark about reality," Alexandria responds.

"By fighting monsters?" Aleissia pipes in, slightly scared. She thinks back to that day this all started. The fight with the cyborg.

"And protecting others. But yeah, that's about right. Monsters or other things that shouldn't exist. But do exist. But don't exist. Are you all following?" she peps the others. They all show their confirmation, but Aleissia shrinks away slightly.

"We're supposed to keep everything in the realm of human knowledge. I understand," Sevantei says.

"Oh and, just so we're clear, you four are those impurities in human reality as well. Don't let anyone see you in action.

"So," Nikal concludes, "beat up the bad guys that don't exist before they can attack any humans and don't get caught while doing so."

Alexandria nods her head.

"We have stories about you. Did you get caught?" Aleissia says quietly. Alexandria just gives her a look that says Aleissia's right but she's not proud.

"Ok. Let's go," Avrel says. He seems to be ready to take on a cyborg like Alexandria.

"Yeah," Nikal agrees. "What are we fighting?"

"Whatever is available." She smiles, turns around, and closes her eyes. Everything becomes silent. She holds her arms slightly off of her body and turns her palms out. Her clothes and hair start waving around, like a wind was blowing around her and no one else. "I come here," She says slowly, interrupting herself to concentrate, "once in awhile... to find a new target.... The world is colorful.... So very colorful.... We are the colors of the world... And when... a color is out of place...." Alexandria lowers her arms and opens her eyes again. "We have our first target," she tells them.
