They all stand motionless. The guns contain powerful bullets that release narcotics. You couldn't get away even if you got away.

"Avrel," Alexandria says calmly.

"Come with us," the head soldier orders. "You are under arrest for the charge of endangering every citizen of Alocostria as well as everyone on planet Earth."

"Lead everyone out," she continues.

"Resistance will lead in your immediate termination," he persists, not really paying attention to Alexandria's words.

Avrel turns his head to Alexandria, and she glances at him. He nods.

"Step forward one at a time. You first, purple," he commands.

Alexandria walks up slowly. About halfway, she yells out, "NOW!" and forms a disk of purple energy in front of her. Avrel jumps back and blows a hole on the outer wall of the room. The wall explodes in blue and the soldiers fire. Alexandria's disk widens and starts to spin. The bullets get caught in it like a rock being dropped into honey or get deflected into the floor, walls, and ceiling. The flying vehicles turn on their sirens and get closer to the blast site.

Avrel calls the others to follow him as he jumps out of the hole, surrounded by blue energy. He lands on one of the lower vehicles. Sevantei follows behind immediately, but Aleissia hesitates. As she edges to the hole, she turns back and looks at Nikal, who hadn't moved at all.

Gatling guns begin to spin in their heli mounts. Avrel notices and lashes his energy at the mount. One gun gets detached, but the other finishes warming up. A stream of bullets fly into the room at the girls still trapped inside.

"NO!" Avrel yells. Yet, when he looks back at the hole, the bullets are stopping right before entry. Hazy black surrounds the bullet stream in their suspended state. Avrel turns to Sevantei. His face is full of determination. Avrel turns back to escort the others out when he hears metal thumping behind him. Avrel turns around to see three men in similar armored uniform as the ones in the room. Of course they couldn't just land on a ship and expect to be left alone.

However, these men weren't prepared. They had a wrench, a ratchet, and a pipe. They weren't hardened soldiers, they were pilots and engineers.

Avrel looks at them. Their faces told him they were gonna kill him, but their eyes showed fear.

"I'm sorry," Avrel tells them, just loud enough for them to hear. They hesitate, but stand their ground.

Back in the room, the soldiers, realizing their guns are doing nothing, pull out their melee weapons. Some handles unfold into swords, some jut out into thin spears. All of the weapons coat themselves with energy of some kind. Lightning, fire, plasma. Alexandria dissipates the disk and reforms it into a staff and yells at Aleissia to go. She shakes her head.

"No! I can't jump out of a hundred story window!" She yells.

"Yes you can!" Alexandria responds, trying her best to split her attention between fighting and motivating. "You'll be fine if you use your powers!" Aleissia looks down at the immense, definitely lethal drop. Then up at the black fog and bullet stream. "You're way stronger than you think you are! Be brave!"

Aleissia takes a moment to think about it, then sees Avrel and Sevantei about to be attacked. You don't want to, but you know you can. And he needs you to, she thinks.

Aleissia closes her eyes for a brief second, then jumps out of the newly designed window. She screams on her way down, but lands with a roll on the ship. Her heart is racing and adrenaline is rushing around. She walks up to Avrel and takes a stance next to him.
