Chapter 3: Cafe Tradition
___________

As soon as school was over, Olivia and I met up at our usual meeting spot which was near the front of the school. "So, where to? Starbucks? Or Starbucks?," she asked. I put on my thinking face as I rubbed my chin. "Starbucks," I answered as we both laughed. "In my car we go," She spoke as we reached her baby blue VW Beetle.

Finally getting into the over populated coffee shop I smiled smelling the familiar warm scent of roasted coffee beans. We went to our usual table where no one ever sat at since it was in the corner of the cafe. We dropped our bags down and chilled for a second. "So.. I was in biology today and.. You know Conner right?," she flushed as she began to talk slowly, I leaned in intrigued by her story nodding along. "He asked me out!," she exclaimed excitedly. "What!! Thats great! Didn't you like him freshman year?," I squealed earning glares from other people but didn't mind. "Yes! And he finally noticed me," she dreamily looked up as I laughed.

"When?," I asked but had to hit her arm since she was caught up in her own daydream. "Huh?!... Oh um this Saturday," She smiled cheekily as I frowned. "Liv, Saturday was supposed to be our traditional chill night," She looked at me with an "oh shit sorry" expression as I shook my head. "It's alright I'll let you off the hook for only this time." rolling my eyes I stood up to order our drinks. We've been coming here ever since Liv got her car which was Sophomore year. It's been another tradition of ours to come here after school whenever we have the chance to. It's been our second home for the last two years. Filled with all the tea being spilled from what she hears eavesdropping her sister.

I decided to order since we were here, I walked up to the line and awaited my turn, taking my time to further observe this place since they've renovated it last month. I remember Liv and I coming here to remind them to keep our table in the same exact spot, which had to take a little more persuading. But afterall we were somewhat regular customers so they accepted.

Finally walking up I ordered our usual Frappés. But was caught in my own words when beautiful emerald eyes looked up to me. Holy shit. "Hi, what would you like today?," the god of a person asked as I collected myself. "Uh- I'd like two Mocha Frappés grande pl-please," I stammered, I saw his lip twitch into a smile. Oh god, I embarrased myself. "Alrighty, is that it?," he asked as he leaned onto the counter making his arms flex. I need water.

"Yep," I managed to squeak out as a small playful smirk fell to his lips. "Name?," he grabbed a cup. "L-Leila," I stammered again, wanting to hit myself from how much of a nervous reck I was. "For the other?," I watched as he moved from the other cup. "Olivia." Giving him the money, I quickly ran off to our table. I probably looked like I've been hung off a bridge, because once Liv looked up she raised her eyebrows in concern. "You okay?!," I shook my head in response, taking my seat and I pointed over to the cash register. "I see," She smirked as she laughed loudly in her seat making me glare over at her.

"It's not funny! I totally made a fool out of myself," I whined pleading for some kind of comfort from her. "I'm sure he's interested in you," She smiled widely, I looked at her like she was crazy. "How in the hell do you kn-"

"Olivia and.. Leila," I heard his god like voice speak from behind me. I snapped my head towards him catching the same beautiful emerald eyes. Oh how lovely. He placed the drinks on the table and smiled towards me. "I decided to personally deliver," he smiled cheekily. "Why?," I questioned. "Why not?," He shrugged as he walked off with a pleased smile sending me into a wave of confusion. What the absolute frick.

"Did you hear how he said your name?," Liv gawked as she nudged my arm. I squirmed away from her nudging as I shook my head. "The tone of voice can mean nothing," she only rolled her eyes at me as if I knew nothing. "Orrrr it can mean everything!," she exclaimed excitedly. I hate whenever Liv gets this way whenever I have just the tiniest bit of interaction with an attractive guy. I get that she's supporting and all but I'd love her more if she was subtle about it. No tea no shade its truth.
