Chapter 4: Cliché Story Book Characters
___________"Just call him!," Olivia pushed as I held my empty Starbucks drink in my hand. We were currently in my room. Without Liv's eagle eyes, I wouldn't be here on my bed deciding whether or not I should call the god of a person back at starbucks. "I'm scared to!," I exclaimed, rolling over on to my back. "Then I will," She smirked quickly pouncing onto me, not giving me time to react. She grabbed the cup and my phone out of my hands and fled. She was like a ninja. "What the hell!,"
She laughed as she stood on the other side of the room. "Don't underestimate my reflexes," She flexed as I laughed, not realizing she still had the cup and phone. After collecting myself I jumped up remembering what was happening. "DON'T," I yelled running towards her. She was way too focused on dialing the number she forgot I was coming. But it was too late. P.E. has not done me well. She pressed call and threw my phone to me. "I hate you!," I yelled at her before hearing the angel's voice.
"You hate me?," he questioned, making my eyes widen in horror. "Wha- No! I was talking to my friend Liv not you," I giggled nervously scratching the back of my neck. "You're cute when you're nervous," He chuckled as I could feel my whole face heat up. Olivia smiled in accomplishment and jumped onto the bed as she held her head up with her hands. "This is the cute girl from starbucks right?," He questioned catching me off guard a bit. "Uh.. I think so?.. Or.. I hope so?," I stammered making him laugh. "Yup it sure is," What is that supposed to mean?!
"So i didn't catch.. Uh your name?," I questioned. "Oh.. My name is Bennet, Ben for short," Oh lord he's so cute. Olivia was on my bed smirking at me the whole time but I ignored her inappropriate faces. "You think so?," He questioned, contorting my face in confusion. "What?," I asked. "You said that I'm cute," He retorted making my face fall into a plunge of embarrassment. "Oh.. I didn't.. Yea," I stuttered looking at Olivia for help but she just winked at me and ran out of my room.
"Well cutie I got to go I'll text you." He greeted good bye as I whimpered a small bye. I threw my phone on my bed as I ran out of my room to find Olivia. Seeing her faced away from me in the kitchen I yelled at her pointing, "YOU DID THIS," But froze when she moved. Reid was standing behind the kitchen counter. He smiled as he caught my reaction. "Sup Doll face,"
"What are you doing here," I growled. "Your mom let me in," He shrugged walking over and grabbing a banana. "And..?," I suggested, Reid always has a reason to come here. "I just wanted to see how my Leila's been doin," Smirking as he stopped in front of me. I felt my cheeks heat up, Reid always made them heat up and I didn't like it. "Y-yours?," I said trying to be intimidating but failed while stumbling over my words. "Mhmm," He smiled wider stepping forward as I stepped back. We kept doing that till my back hit the wall. "Soo..," He began his eyes roaming my face. His arm was on the wall beside me holding him up as he was just inches away. I gulped, my heart was beating 1000 times more fast and I hated it because Reid made me feel this way. "Go away," I pushed his chest. Forgetting that Olivia was in the room I walked past him and looked at Liv who had a surprised look on her face. "Whatever," He sighed, I turned on my heel and gave him a death glare. Pointing to the door, he shrugged as he walked out. "Wow, You two are something," Liv chuckled whipping my head towards her. "What's that supposed to mean?!," I gave her a face making her stop laughing. "Nothing! You guys just remind me of cliché story book characters thats all - I got to go though, see you tomorrow!" she quickly rambled and leading herself out before I even got the chance to argue with her. Was this day getting worse or worse.
