Haise looked down at Touka. He scrutinized her face for a long time. She's only been asleep for ten minutes and he couldn't take his eyes off her. Touka felt something and woke up. She blinked several times and awakened to Haise staring at her. He giggled nervously.
"Oh, I'm sorry. I was just tired. We can talk now." Said the girl.
Haise looked depressed after he said that. _Am I really that boring?_ She saw disappointment in his eyes and quickly said," You're not boring Haise, I've just had a long day and needed to rest." She said with a reassuring smile.
"Well okay." He smiled back at her.
"So, how's it like being at the CCG."
"It's definitely hard working, and I work there to get rid of pesky ghouls. Sometimes, it's hard though. Killing children, is just way too cruel, even if they are disgusting ghouls." Said Haise.
Her face paled. There were no emotions in her eye, it was kinda just bland. She looked down and he saw some kind of sadness.
"Eh, I'm s-sorry for saying that. It sounds a bit cruel. Haha. P-please cheer up, Touka!" Haise sputtered.
"It's fine, just hearing you talking about death, was just kinda creepy and scary." Said Touka
Touka POV

_He likes to kill ghouls and finds them disgusting eh. Well, he's in for a real treat. I want to tell him to 'fuck off', but I'll get everyone in trouble and get myself killed. So, I guess its just poker face for now._
"Haise, do you enjoy killing ghouls?"
"It really depends. The innocent ones who did nothing wrong, no. The evil ones, yes..but I just follow the CCG rules" said Haise.
Haise POV

_Talking about my job is bothering her, so I'll stop and ask about her._
"Touka-chan, how is work at re?"
"It's fine, it's just busy and sometimes I get tired, but I need the money so it's cool I guess." Said Touka
"Do you go to school or anything?" Haise asked curiously.
"Yes, I attend Kamii university."
"Really? That school is for geniuses!!!" Haise exclaimed.
She gave him a small glare and said," Are you saying that I'm an idiot or something??"
"No, nothing like that!! I was just shocked, I swear." Haise said tryinf to cover it up.
She crossed her arms and gave a quiet "hmph".
_I am messing up this date!! I really need a cover up. I can ask her about anything. Something, I don't know. I practiced in the mirror I shouldn't be so nervous. Why am I? I'll try to say something._
He squeezed his eyes shut and Touka looked at him.
"Huh?"
"T-touka-chan, y-you're really p-pretty!!!" Haise stuttered.
She blushed while giggling.
_She must think I'm a loser and is laughing because she pities me. I'll show her that we belong together. I'll try my best!!_
"So, how many sibling do you have Touka-chan?"
"I have one kid brother. He's younger than me by a few years."
"Ah. Okay."

They sat there quietly for about five minutes, but it felt like forever. Touka pulled out her phone, after that Haise just started sweating. She looked up at him.
