Henry~ child of the moon

_twotimestwo_ enjoy! so so so sorry for the long wait...we went on a hiatus for a bit...and life has been C-R-A-Z-Y!!

"Serenity, time to wake up!" Red called as she walked into her daughter's room. She smiled as she saw Serenity's pet wolf, Moon, laying next to Serenity, who was still in wolf form from last night's run. Red's daughter was lucky; she could control the wolf and turn back and forth between human and wolf whenever she pleased. Serenity was an extremely skilled archer, better than some could ever hope, at only age 16.

When in human form, Serenity had very long bleach blonde hair. You could never spot her without her bow and arrow, unless she was eating or sleeping. Her signature outfit was a black leather jacket, a red shirt, holed jeans, black high tops, and on her right hand, a black leather glove with finger holes. Taking after the Ruby in her mother, she always had her face perfectly contoured, and had her signature black smokey eye, with a hint of brown at the top. But what really caught everyone's attention was her striking eyes. One was ocean blue, and the other was a glowing blood red. But instead of being self-conscious about it, she embraced it. It was her sweet and sassy personality, her confidence, and yes, also her striking looks that drew Henry Mills to have a huge crush on Serenity Hood.

Moon stirred in her sleep, and her eyes, the same as Serenity in both human and wolf form snapped open. Moon nudged Serenity, who saw her mother and changed into human form.

"Good morning, mom."

"Morning baby." Red sat down next to her daughter with a smile still tugging at the corners of her lips.

"I had fun last night mom...but why are you waking me up this early? My shift doesn't start till 2." Serenity sat up on her bed.

Red laughed. "I know. I was hoping for some girl time, though."

"Oh. Okay." Serenity rubbed her eyes and then stroked her wolf. The wolf nudged her arm with it's cold, wet nose.

Within 20 minutes, Red and Serenity and her wolf were sitting in Granny's Diner, were they had the place to themselves. A plate of sat in front of Red and Serenity, syrup dripping off of the freshly buttered pancakes.

"So whaddya wanna talk about?" Serenity asked, her mouth full with pancakes. She slid a pancake to her wolf.

"Actually, it's not me who wants to talk..." Red smiled as she slid out of the seat. At that moment, Henry Mills smiled at Serenity as he came into the diner.

"Oh! Henry! Um, hi?"

"Hey Serenity!"

Red laughed as she left the room. She seemingly winked at Henry.

The duo smiled awkwardly and started up some small talk. After they got comfortable talking with each other and into conversation, they were laughing easily.

"Serenity, can I ask you something?" Henry asked.

"Yeah." Serenity nodded.

Henry ducked his head. "You-you know I like you, right?"

"Y-yeah, I'm pretty sure I do." Serenity chuckled.

"D-do you like me the way I like you?"

Serenity blushed and bit her lip. She nodded. "Yeah, I do..."

Henry beamed. "Be my girl?"

"Yes!" Serenity laughed.

From the corner, Red exclaimed, "Yay!" 
Serenity whipped her head around and saw her beaming mother. She rolled her eyes. "Mo-om!"

Henry laughed. Red shrugged. "You two are cute!"

Serenity chuckled. "Thanks...I think..."
