Killian~1+1 (part two)

HAPPY 50th PART GUYS!! Broadway_BlueEyes here's part two!

"Killian?" Kayleigh said, a little louder this time.

"Kayleigh. Y-you're here." Killian said as he stood up.

"Yeah. But you weren't. You left me behind, Killian." Kayleigh's heart hit against her chest like a drum.

Killian looked down. "I'm sor-"

"Save it. You aren't worth my time."

"Mama, who's this?" Oliver asked, looking at Killian.

Killian's lips parted slightly. Henry, the son of one of his friends, was right. There was a boy, kindergarten age, who looked a lot like him. Dark hair, blue eyes...but it was impossible.

Glaring at Killian, Kayleigh answered, "Nobody."

Later, at the Charming's apartment (Killian)

"Wait, there's a kid who looks just like you and you had a one night stand with the mom?" Emma asked after Killian's recap.

Killian nodded. "It was just one night, Swan."

Emma snorted. "Well, buddy, sometimes that's all it takes." she looked over in the other room at Henry and smiled.

Killian ran a hand through his hair. "What am I supposed to do? I don't even know if it's my kid!"

"He is most likely your kid, Killian. The timing from curses and all checks out, and you and the mom did do the do, and he looks like you...talk to her. Your kid deserves to know its father."

Killian sighed. "She hates me, Emma."

"It'll work out. It kinda did for me and Neal, in some way."

Killian got up. "Wish me luck." He said as he headed for the door.

"Go get 'em tiger." Emma called out as he headed to Granny's.

At Granny's (Killian)

"Granny?" Killian called as he walked in.

"Yeah?"

"That girl, Kayleigh, with the lil boy, do you know where she went?" he asked.

Granny nodded. "Yeah, the library. Why?"

Killian simply said, "I need to talk to her." And with that, he headed straight for the library.

Library (Kayleigh)

"Cat in the Hat? Mommy I want this one!" Oliver held up a book to show to Kayleigh.

"Okay, now get one more book, and then we're going home." She said to Oliver as the bell chimed, signaling that someone had come in the library.

She peeked between some books to see who it was. "Oliver, run along and find another book buddy."

"Okay mommy!"

Killian stood at the end of the book row Kayleigh was by. He swallowed hard. "Kayleigh, please listen to me."

Crossing her arms, she took in a deep breath. "Two minutes."

"I'm so sorry. I know you won't take me back, I know we weren't even together, but what I did was wrong. I'm sorry. Please, can you forgive me?"

"Actions," Kayleigh sighed, "speak louder than words."

"C-can you answer me one thing?"

"What?"

"How old is your son?" Killian asked as Oliver came toddling over to his mom.

"I four!" Oliver said, holding up four fingers.

Killian smiled weakly at the little boy before he did the math and realization hit him. He pressed his hands to his mouth. "I-is this my son?"

Kayleigh bit her lip. She slowly nodded. "Yes."

"I-I'm a father..." Killian said in shock to himself. "I'm a father." he repeated.

"Father? He's a daddy?" Oliver asked his mom as he gave her a colors book.

"Yeah. H-he's your father."

"He's my daddy?" Oliver repeated in awe.

Kayleigh nodded, and hoisted Oliver up into her hip. She turned to Killian. "Now you know, now you can go."

Killian stepped closer. "Kayleigh, I want to get to know my son...no child deserves to grow up without a father. Please."

"Killian-"

"Let me treat you guys to dinner. Please, Kayleigh, I'm sorry. I want to know my son."

She sighed. "Fine. Dinner at my place. Tonight at seven. Don't be late." 

"I wouldn't mis it for the world." Killian smiled. "Thank you."

Kayleigh and Oliver left the library after checking out with Belle, who wished them the best. Killian stayed to find a book for his son, who as they left, waved at him and said, "Bye, daddy!"

Kayleigh smiled weakly. Maybe, just maybe, this wouldn't turn out bad after all.
