DOCTOR'S POV

What are we doing?" I asked Rose, who was more ambitious and demanding (in a good way) than I remembered. "We," She paused and clapped her hands once for further emphasis and importance. "Are going to have a little talk."

"About what?" I asked, wondering what the blonde had up her sleeve this time. "You'll find out soon enough." she informed me with a mischievious smile. I raised my eyebrows; what was she going to do? Diligently, I tried to think of something somewhat dangerous that Rose might attempt, but my enormous mind drew a blank.

"Alright! Imagine I were someone you've never met before. How would you describe yourself to me?" So, these were her instructions? Not as bad as what I thought it might be, but what was the point? There had to be one or else Rose wouldn't ask; maybe I'll find out after I answer.

"Well, I would say, 'I'm the Doctor. I'm a Timelord. I'm from the planet Gallifrey in the constellation of Kasterborous. I'm 903 years old and I'm the man who is gonna save your life.', but I feel like it's too much for the first time meeting. Maybe later on as a conversation starter or if they ask about my background."

"Ok, fair enough. Now, I want to know everything about you. All the little details you usually don't discuss when you're on the go fighting a Dalek." Rose asked, looking at me slyly. "What do you mean?" I inquired. "Just answer these questions!" Rose exclaimed with an exasperated laugh.

Over the next thirty-six minutes, I was asked every question under the sun (obviously, not literally) that a human being could possibly think of. What was my favorite color, favorite music, favorite place? Rose was right; even though I wasn't very experienced with traveling around (yet), I knew what it felt like. A never-ending cycle of fighting, screaming, and saving. Oh, and don't forget the running. It's not always as luxurious as one would assume.

Anyway, the point of the conversation was to make me realize what I missed out on in the average human's life. The little things that mattered to Rose that I usually never had time to discuss. The more goofy, yet personal side of me that is only seen when I am provoked or pushed to make a decision that will most likely end in the destruction of the universe. The human side of me was the part no one had witnessed before, not even me. It was weird, in a way being one person and another at the same time. Nothing quite like it.

"Your turn!" Rose exclaimed excitedly; it was obvious she liked this game. "Ok," I said, wondering what I wanted to ask her. Let's see... I'll start off simple, I decided carefully, using tactic and strategy to win this "game".

"So, Rose Tyler," I began slowly. "What's your favorite color?" "Oh, come on. You can't ask the same questions!" she yelled jokingly, making me the recipient of a playful punch on my arm. "Alright, but do tell. I really wanted to know." I begged her lovingly.

"Well, I have a lot of colors that I would call my favorite, but unless rainbow is a color, I'd have to go with firehouse red." "Really? Firehouse red? Why not just red?" was my response. "Oi! Why is your favorite color TARDIS blue? Why not just blue?" Rose questioned me accusingly. "Blue is fantastic; blue is cool!" I shouted with joy. I absolutely loved bragging to people about my TARDIS. Isn't it cool how it's the last surviving TARDIS in the universe? It's unique; there's never been another like it.

"Ok, moving on." Rose announced, rolling her eyes as she said this. "What else do you want to know about me?" I stroked my chin, seemingly lost in thought. It's time to kick it up a notch, I agreed with my conscience, and together, I gained the audacity to ask my question, very nervously.

"Do you remember when we were on the beach with-you know-and I told you I could spend the rest of my life with you? Well, I wasn't sure whether or not I got a response, so I'm asking now: Rose Tyler, would you like to spend the rest of your life with me? Of course, you don't have to at all or you could just spend a few years with me, then-"

In a lot less than a second (I couldn't quite measure the time exactly at that precise moment), Rose repeated what she did less than an hour ago. Grabbing the collar of my suit jacket, she pulled me close and kissed me full on the lips.

For the second time today, I was unprepared, but very quickly decided that the correct thing (what the other Doctor would do) to do was to kiss her back. Luckily, I agreed wholeheartedly with this decision or else I don't know what I would've done.

Sadly, it was over all too soon, and I braced myself for the awkwardness that was bound to come. I've been in worse situations, was all I could think when I looked into Rose's eyes. Thankfully, she had a plan in mind. It was a bit weird, though, having to rely on her, because usually I'm the one with the plan. Well, technically it's not really me, it's actually the other me, but it's close enough, right? Oh, Doctor, quit rambling and listen to what Rose is saying. You don't want to miss anything important.

"Come on, then. Don't just stand there. Allons-y!" Rose said eagerly, unable to wait any longer. Apparently, we were going somewhere. "That's what I usually say!" I objected, amused by her enthusiasm. "Oh, hurry up!" she yelled, finally deciding the best option would be to grab me by the hand and run, which she does soon after expressing her impatience. Reminds me of the first time we met. Oh, how time flies. Looks like there's going to be an awful lot of running to do.
