11. Rosie, Now

Chapter Eleven

Demi's POV

Rosie parked on the drive way and shut the engine off as I opened the door and got out of the car. I headed towards the front door and unlocked it before I stepped inside and closed it behind me.

"Demi! Thank goodness you are home!" Mum called out as she ran towards me. She pulled me into her arms and kissed me on the cheek

"We need to hurry." My dad said as he came towards us. I pulled away from my mum and looked at him confused.

"Why?" I asked them as they looked at each other.

"Alex called. He wants us to take you to the agency." Mum explained to me as she grabbed my hand.

I looked at them even more confused. "But Alex said to wait here until he contacted me on his phone."

My mum shrugged. "Change of plans." She said.

"Okay..." I trailed off as I headed upstairs to pack my things. I saw my mum and dad secretly high five each other. I stood beside the stairs as they started whispering to each other.

"I can't believe she brought that!" My mum said.

"You know what girls can be like." Eddie replied as he rolled his eyes. I snuck into my room before I closed the door.

My mind raced as I paced back and forth. Alex told me not to contact him unless it was important. But it was so I picked my phone up and dialled his number.

Alex picked up almost straight away. "Hey Dems. I'm on my way to get you." He said to me.

"So you didn't send my parents to come and get me?" I asked.

"No..." Alex trailed off.

"Alex. I think my parents might be up to something." I replied to him.

I heard my mum and dad come up the stairs a second later.

"I have to go." I told him before I hung up the phone.

I pressed a chair against the door so my mum and dad couldn't get into the room before I went towards the window and climbed on the window seal.

"Demi what are you doing in there?" My mum asked.

She tried to open the door as I looked down and took a deep breath. The drop wasn't that big and the biggest damage I could do is break my arm.

"Demi...come on we need to go." My mum said

I took a deep breath and prepared myself for the drop as my mum started to kick down the door. The door was really old so caved in pretty quickly. My mum moved the door away and ran towards me as I jumped out of the window.

"Eddie quick! She's getting away." My mum screamed. I fell on my arm awkwardly had heard a snap before pain shot through my arm

I cursed under my breath I stood up and tried to run down the drive. But Eddie grabbed hold of me and dragged me towards the house. He held me firmly as I kicked and thrashed around as much as I could.

"Rosie! Now!" Alex screamed and a second later a dart shot into Eddie's side. He let go of me before he fell onto the floor and blacked out.

Alex ran towards me before he grabbed my arm and pulled me towards the car. But Diana was already outside and pointing a gun at Alex

She came towards her, the gun still pointing at him. Alex pushed me towards the car and the door opened before I felt someone pull me inside.

I screamed until I turned around and realised who it was.

"Ow Demi. That was my ear." Sebastien said to me.

"Sorry." I replied before I got into the car properly.

My mum went towards Alex until she was stood in front of him. "You are just like your parents." She said. "Always interfering with things. Things were perfect until you came a long and Demi started to remember things Alex!" My mum screamed. She continued to hold the gun and moved a finger towards the trigger.

"Any last words?" She asked as she went to pull the trigger.

"Rosie now!" Alex yelled and another dart shot out and landed into my mothers side. My mum fell onto the ground.

Relief flooded through me as I opened the car door and ran towards him before I wrapped my arms around him.

"I love you." I whispered as he held me close

"I love you too." He whispered back before he kissed me.

"Get a room guys! I really don't want to see that!" Rosie complained.
