"Mmmm" Abigail said, "best ice cream ever." I smiled at her. She isn't usually happy unless she is with me.

"I knew you would like this new place" I said with a smile.

"So who's that boy?" She questioned while wiggling her eyebrows.

"Just a roommate. Nothing special" I brushed off.

"You wouldn't just let anyone live with you for no reason. Spill the beans" Abigail said.

"Okay, I met him in college. But we aren't dating. I'm just giving him a place to stay, so in return, he's paying half of the rent" I said with a cheesy smile.

"Whatever."

Mom honked her horn outside of the shop, and Abigail got up.

"I'll see you next week" I said with a smile.

"If mom let's me over" She said while rolling her eyes.

"Oh, Abs!" I stopped her.

"Yeah?"

"Don't tell mom."

She zipped and locked her lips.

I took my ice cream to go, and got in my car to go pick up Becca.

Becca and I were on the elevator talking about hilarious moments in college. I had told her all about my roommate, and how he's staying with me.

She talked about how happy she was that I was able to find an alternative to my financial problems.

Once we walked in, there were two boys drinking soda and playing videos games, along side Tyler.

They looked at us, and smirked. Except Tyler. He was too busy in the game to even acknowledge the fact that I was present.

"You told us you had a roommate. You never said it was a girl" One of them shouted.

"Yeah, a hot girl" The other one added.

"Dude check out the other one" The other one said again.

I began to feel a little insecure, and so did Becca. I walked into the kitchen, and Becca followed. "You never said he had company" Becca whispered.

"I know, and that's because I didn't know he had any" I whispered back.

I walked over there, right in front of there game and they just paused it.

"Sam, did you know your in front of tv?" Tyler said sarcastically.

"Dude chill, her standing there is way more interesting" One of the guys said.

I rolled my eyes, "may I have a word with you in the kitchen?" I said politely.

They began cooing at us, and cheering us on.

"Be right back" He said to his boys.
They continued to play the game, while Tyler and I made are way to the kitchen.

"What was one of the main rules?" I asked him in a firm whisper.

"Look Samantha, these guys came on their own terms" He whispered.

"I don't care. My guest feels uneasy and insecure with them around. Thats why I told you to give me a heads up" I whispered.

"How about your guest? I mean, what if I want a heads up when you friends are coming over?" He whispered to me.

"So you can screw them, no thanks" I whispered once again.

"Point taken."

We both walked out and into the living room to where both guys were still playing videos games.

"Guys, it's been five hours. You gotta go" Tyler said to them.

"I think I'll leave to" Becca said while getting up from the chair, across from the couch.

"Why so soon?" I asked her.

"Gotta pick up some food, for my boo" She chirped, and she walked out of the door.

The guys left, and so did Becca.

"Alone at last" He said as he smirked at me.

"Leave me alone Tyler" I said, pretty irritated.

"Are you mad at me?" He asked in a soft gentle tone.

I don't know why, but it just made me blush. Something about the way he said it, made me feel all tingly.

"Your smiling?" He said with a smirk.

"Am not."

"Is too."

"Whatever assface."

I walked to the couch and turned on the tv, to "Jurassic World." I heard Tyler popping popcorn, and I turned around and I watched him.

I guess I could see why girls like him. I mean he has nice brown hair, and little freckles on his nose. Thick eyebrows, and a mixture of blue and grey eyes. Oh and his body is just so perfectly perfect.

He looked at me, and I quickly turned around, but either way he saw me staring.

I focused on the tv and felt a wave of red flush my cheeks. "Popcorns ready" He said to me, as he plopped down next to me on the couch.

"Thanks" I told him.

"Oh, I'm not sharing" He said with a laugh, not breaking contact with the tv.

"Assface" I said, as I got up from the couch.

He grabbed my wrist and I looked at him. "I'm just kidding, we can share" He said with a laugh.

He pulled me down and I fell on his lap. I looked at him in his eyes and immediately my cheeks turned red.

He just stared at me and slowly a smile appeared. My eyes were bulging out, and my cheeks were visibly red. I awkwardly moved off of him, and faced the tv.

Both of us sat quiet, registering what had happened. I reached in the bag of popcorn, only to touch Tyler's hand. I looked at him, and I took my hand out of the bag, so quick that I think popcorn spilled out.

"I'm actually full" I told him.

We continued to watch the movie, but my eyes began to feel a little heavy, so I leaned over and I fell asleep.

Based on reading the previous chapters, you can tell that Samantha's lifestyle has caused her to be shy. Every time she had an idea, thought, or opinion, she was always told that she was wrong.

So when she encounters things like feelings, she thinks it's wrong to have. That's why she keeps to herself.

Anyways...

Love you guys,
Jayla💕
