Max's POV
I look the doctor in the eyes searching for happy news but his eyes are very blunt. He begins to speak. "Now I suppose your all here for shelby grace? Well we managed to stop the bleeding but she's very fragile at this point in time. She's a awake but in pain so we have her in pain killers. Give her about a month and it will be like nothing happened. You may go see her." These are the best words I've ever heard. I'm over the moon. I walk into shelbys room seeing her sitting up with a smirk. "hey cheese" I say. "Hey max" everyone looks at me as if I'm crazy "she's not cheese" Adam says laughing. "It's a nickname" shelby replies to Adam. "How ya feeling?" Ross asks "fine I mean it hurts but I'm okay. Hey where's red and Emily?" Shelby asks. We all look around the room but there not there. "I'll go look" Adam says while walking out into the hall. "AHH REMILY!" Adam shouts from the hallway. He comes back into the room with very exciting news (well for me anyway) "yo Adam are you okay?" I ask. "Am I what? I've never been better" "what happened?" Ross asked and Adam tells us what he say "okay so I was looking for red and Emily an-" "ADAM YOU BETTER NOT" red shouts interrupting Adam. I look over at shelby to see her laughing. -time passes 3 hours later- me and Ross stay with shelby in the hospital to keep her company. Ross is down getting a bite to eat so it's just me and shelby in the room. I sit down on the bed with her. "Hey max?" "Yea cheese" "uh never mind I'm fine" "wow you'd know you and Ross are cousins" I say to her laughing "what do you mean?" Shelby replies "he done the exact same thing to me in the ambulance" "well I don't wanna be like him" Shelby says laughing so I laugh to. All of a sudden shelby gets upset. "What's up cheese?" I ask holding her "I never thought I'd see you again I was really scared. What if it happens to you but" Shelby says starting to cry. I hug her tight " aw cheese it's okay nothing will happen I promise you." I say "I love you" Shelby says. Wait did shelby just tell me she loves me. What do I say. "I love you too cheese" we look at eachother and I lean in for a kiss. All of a sudden Ross comes in the door asking if we have seen Kp. I fall off the bed and scream while shelby laughs
