But I didn't want to screw this up more than I already did.
"You want to go to the dance with me?" Jake asked.
I turned around with the guiltiest face in the history of guilty faces.
"Yes?" I looked away from him.
"I didn't think any girls would even care to know me because I'm new."
"I think you're cute," I blushed.
"Well do you want to go to homecoming together? You don't have to say-"
"Yes!" I assured him and myself.
"Well then I should give you my number."
