"Your mom loves you," Jake whispered to me as we laid alone.
I shook my head.
"She does, Jessie."
I snapped.
I broke.
"Stop it! You act like you know when you don't! Just go. I'm better off alone," I shouted and pulled the covers over me.
I stayed that way until I heard my apartment door close.
My dad walked in, tearing up.
