We sat in awkward silence.
"Why didn't you text back?" I sighed.
"I didn't know what to say."
"Are we gonna go through this again, Jake?"
"Jessie, I'm sorry I just... I don't know why I didn't text back and I've missed you so much these last few months. I like you too much to just let this go to waste," he confessed.
My eyes teared up.
"Are you okay?"
I pulled him into a hug, showing him my answer.
