I laid in bed, staring out of the window thinking about everything I've endured over the years. The punches, the pushes, the pulls, I often wonder how did I get through it all. I miss how things were in the first year of our marriage. It was like a fairytale, I was treated like a princess but then and there I should've known things were just too perfect. It's funny how things could turn from good to worse and it doesn't take anything at all.

Glancing at the clock it read,

1:56 AM

Jason hasn't come to bed since dinner, I can only assume he's in his office. I turned to lay on my back as memories of a happy marriage hit me.

Flashback 1:

"Ekk! Jason stop!" I was laughing so hard I thought I might faint.

"What's the magic word?" Jason continued to tickle me and laugh as I was rendered helpless in my fit of giggles.
I tried to toss and turn away but Jason had me in his hold and I felt my face getting flush.

"Ha..ha..ahhh!! Please!" I screamed, desperate for the joyous torture to end.

"Fine." Jason laughed, collapsing beside me on the bed. I was on my back and him on his side facing me. I glanced at him smiling, and saw his mouth returning the gesture.

"You're beautiful."

My eyes widened a little in shock and shyness.

"Jason..."

"What? I'm just being honest."

I watched as his big hand grabbed my small one and held it up, before intertwining our fingers. Our marriage rings matching up with each other.

"I couldn't have asked for a more gorgeous wife."

I'm sure by now, the pink on my cheeks were evident but I wanted to say something nice too.
